Chris Casper? I guess we do need a replacement if Pearce leaves.

Cobi According to Jonathan Low at GetReading. He'll tell us who it is tomorrow...

Billy Sharp.

Yeah, I'll take that bet.

humphrey would be an underwhelming signing imo. we have 4 quality wingers and 1 up and coming winger. ill give you that mcanuff and kebe are getting older but come on, wingers are probably the last thing we need to be building for right now. if we do lose one or two then we should look at humphrey but we havent lost anyone yet and humphrey imo wouldnt be high enough quality for our goals of getting back to the prem.

On the assumption we make this signing I can see Adkins getting/continuing us to play like a 'less good' Chelsea (4-2-3-1).

Karacan and Guthrie ticking things over in front of the back four and a big target man (Sorry Alf)

Then I guess McAnuff/HRK/Kebe/McCleary/Blackman/New bloke/ all mixing and matching across those three positions. Because he's Jamaican I'm assuming he will be rapid.

From what I've seen on the Motherwell boards, Humphrey is a typical winger i.e. he is astounding one week and totally invisible the next. Has pace to burn and a good all round game both offensively and defensively. Apparently is a good egg and one of those players who makes the effort to applaud fans at the end of games.

Strike rate is a bit below standard for a winger though as he averages a goal roughly every 25 appearances

Maybe we know we're going to lose one. Maybe maffff is right and we wont see Kebe play again (here at least). If he see's HRK as more of a striker or forward, rather than a winger, that also opens up a space on the wings. Who knows, but Adkins record in the transfer market aint that bad, so I'll back whoever comes in this summer. Plus we probably need 5 or 6 new players, and we wont be spending seven figures on each of them, so the odd freebie shouldn't be seen as 'unambitious'.

I would of thought Alan Judge would of been a better option on a free.

Lacoste

SPARTA
winchester_royal I'm sure he's a lovely guy, but all of his stories are based around what's been in the national media over the last couple of days..rather than having any genuine sources himself.

He also has a habit of taking quotes/non-stories and making them sound a lot more dramatic than they are.

Crikey, have you forgotton how bad Jonny Fordham was? Fordham was caught out by fans on more than one occasion when fake rumours were posted online to catch him out, and he ran with the stories. He never had any sources either. They're in a role where by most of their stories come direct from the club itself. If he was to break news all the time then the club would probably ask him to stay away from all press conferences.

Fordham over past six months had an absolute mare and a total embarrassment over the Adkins affair.
