I have seen us linked with Thomas Eisfeld, albeit on the very dubious 'Football Rumours' website.

However, a Saints fan at work who doesn't bulls**t is 100% sure that Adkins was looking to bring him in on loan at Southampton just before he was sacked.

He looks just the type of player we have been crying out for and given that we have taken youngsters (Harper and Sidwell) from Arsenal in the past, I could see this happening.

I remember watching him a few times last season. Once we he came on in the cup game and a couple of times on reserve football videos. I stated then on here how good he was and that id like him on loan.

Loan is all it would be I imagine, no where near the finished article but a promising player and would do well in the championship.

He's contracted until June 2015, so if we had him for the season he would only have one year on his contract left. If he enjoyed it, we did well and we went back up then I can't see it being inconvievable.
