What is more worrying, is that you think it could be true.

Arnie_Pie Well what is worrying, if this was true, is that Drenthe is an Anton signing and not an Adkins signing.

WHy do you think there were no quotes from Hammond or Adkins when he signed?

Don't find this worrying at all. Fact that AZ was aware of him before NA's appointment does not necessarily mean that it was his decision, a desire to acquire players like Royston, may even have been a factor in NA coming here. All conjecture at this time.

I doubt our scouts just disregard every player they have scouted when the new manager comes in, they probably kept record of Drenthe and Adkins liked what he saw.

Apart from the fact he said that Drenthe was playing for Besiktas.

That would imply that this was his only rumour thread. Surely the score is in the minus, QI style.

As much as I really hate to say this, this is a particularly random piece of shit that was thrown. There were an awful lot of other players I would have said before getting to RD. You really don't know how much I hate saying this  .

Even a stopped clock is right twice per day, as they say.

Even someone 100% ITK who only ever posts the possibilities will only have a small percentage of his possibilities sign.

Even a manager who knows for sure someone is going to sign and blags about it for ages doesn't get his man etc etc

R4E is clearly ITK. Whether he has legit contacts or or trawls through every forum to get his knowledge doesn't matter.

Exactly... to be honest so many people have been degrading me and rubbishing my rumours, I have actually made it into a bit of a joke (example: where I have been drinking to get the information). I'm suprised it took so long to realise that I have pointed out our interest way in advance of everyone else.

The one I am most confident of happening at the moment is Havenaar. I believe or am led to believe that we WILL sign him

@Royaltypoints: It appears that Mike Havenaar will not be joining #readingfc @garyjacob (Times) claims he won't join a Champ team in a World Cup year

Its not like I have Wikipedia'd him. I get told potential news, I post it on here. You can either choose to listen to it, or disregard it.

Most transfers are not made on a whim. Slow burn makes sense.

And nobody in their right mind would have come up with the name Royston Drenthe.

Ah...
