I can only see Williams being a back up. If we manage to keep all our players and add a a good quality CF I do think we have a stronger team. We all know what can happen in the last week in August though and if we lose Pog, Le Fondre and Macarthy with a replacement of say Sharp we will be weaker. Its hard to keep players if they are offered premiership football. All I'm saying is at this stage we dont know if we will be stronger or weaker

What on earth are you on about? Talks never took place. Southampton have confirmed Lambert has been very impressive in pre-season and remains in their plans.
