Leeds United have made a new contract offer to top scorer Ross McCormack in the face of a £2million bid from Middlesbrough.
Talks were ongoing on Thursday with Leeds willing to sell for that price although they have yet to accept the offer.
McCormack is considering his options with Middlesbrough considering a move for Peterborough's Lee Tomlin should McCormack decide to stay.
Leeds are looking to make sales to help strengthen in other areas and are willing to sacrifice McCormack if they they can find a suitable replacement.
Tomlin has also attracted enquiries from Celtic and Reading but there is no bid as yet.
