Feel a tad sorry for Moyes, inherited a team that should never have come close to winning last year. If you were gonna take over from a legend, you'd want to walk into a good team really

Also, people should remember that a lot of refs were afraid of giving decisions against Fergie. Fellaini put the ball in the net with a few minutes to go today. It was rightly ruled out for offside. Might have been given in previous seasons.

United's squad just seems stale. Same bunch of players for too long now. Ferdinand and Vidic are definitely getting on a bit, and Evans, Smalling & Jones aren't pulling up any trees as cover. Their wingers are average at best, and the squad doesn't seem to have the skill and energy that Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs have. They're in need of some world-class players to add to Rooney, De Gea & RVP. Any of Fabio Coentrao, Fabregas, Thiago, or even Herrera would have made a huge improvement.

Suddenly the majority of Man Utd's players look rather ordinary. Not that it really needs underlining but it does makes you realise what an absolutely extraordinary manager Ferguson was.
PS Has the Emirates ever been quieter than Old Trafford yesterday? Talk about atmosphere of a library as has often been levelled at Arsenal. And do that many Arsenal fans leve before the end when their team is 2-1 down?
Maybe now we'll really see just how good Man Utd's fabled fans are.

Old Trafford has always had a rather stately atmosphere compared with a lot of other stadiums in England past and present.
