Big relegation six pointer next week against Sunderland. Still think United will beat the drop though,

Royal Rother And do that many Arsenal fans leve before the end when their team is 2-1 down?

Arsenal fans leave when they're 4 up. I've been in with home fans at the Emirates a few times and the stands are usually half empty ten minutes to go. Utterly dreadful fans.

Heard a couple of manc fans calling for "The Chosen Ones" head on talksport. They mustn't rate the opinion of SAF who supposedly picked Moyes as the next manager of MUFC then told the fans at his last game speech that their job was to support the new manager. Give him time ffs. I feel sure if they do he has the acumen to beat the drop.

He'll get the season unless they seriously struggle to make top 6. Sacking him would be spitting on Fergie's legacy, something even the Glazers wouldn't be stupid enough to do.

TBF to Moyes, he appears to have been totally let down by their new CEO Ed Woodward. Crazy of Man U to let Gill leave at the same time.

Had to laugh last night someone suggested Man Utd be renamed Port Talbot- as they are stuck between Cardiff and Swansea

This has probably been posted previously, but they should have backed Moyes and broken the bank for 2 of Baines, Bale or Mata in the transfer window. They've not had a decent midfield playmaker since Scholes, and Mata would have been ideal. In my opinion Fellaini is a battering ram sort of player who can win knockdowns and who you want in the 6 yard box with a few minutes to go as a target man. That's just not how Utd play.

You say that, but with the interest payments United have to meet annualy, they can't afford to miss a season in the Champions League. If a top four finish is at risk, he'll go.

They don't have that much money after interest payments and there is no way Chelsea will sell Mata to any premiership team even if the sulky one does dispose of him.

General Question:

If you play PL/professional football - do you pay a fine if you get booked? I'm talking a one off yellow.

Occurred to me seeing Rooney pick up a yellow for a very obvious foul to stop Sunderland breaking. Is making that foul and keeping his team in it actually going to cost him money :?:

Fair enough at this level someone like Rooneys not going to feel a few quid but the further down the pyramid you go it must throw up issues if players are being fined

You get fined in Saturday/Sunday league so I guess they do (though it's the club rather than the player)

Was that Tevez wage sheet definitely a fake? It had the same FA charge per booking i was paying. :|

FWIW, if the card was deemed unfair or self-sacrificing, we'd all chip in to cover and kept a pot for other things.

Not sure if this extends to PL tbh

interesting.

Anyone know the size of the fine? Presumably its relevant to stature? Just thinking about a situation where someone, lower league player maybe, may or may not commit a foul depending on whether they have a gas bill due or not...
