Depends on other clauses really doesn't it. It was an undisclosed fee at the time. Maybe not a lot.
If he plays 400 times for WHU it would cost them £10m on the face of it. That doesn't really sound like shite business to me.

There is also understood to be a complicated release clause in Morrison’s current contract which amounts to more than £20 million. West Ham would also want that renegotiated for the attacking midfielder.
Morrison has so far made eight appearances for West Ham this season – triggering payments of £200,000 to United – having spent the previous campaign on loan to Birmingham City. He played 30 times for the Championship club.
When Sir Alex Ferguson decided to sell Morrison in January of last year, a £3 million fee was discussed with West Ham, who were then in the Championship.
But the London club eventually paid a fraction of the figure that was initially demanded upfront and instead agreed to pay United per game, which not only demonstrated their willingness to invest in Morrison but also the concerns over whether he would ever eventually knuckle down and succeed in the Premier League.
Ferguson’s friendship with Allardyce helped West Ham to secure the deal.
Such arrangements are not unusual, although extra payments are usually triggered after blocks of appearances rather than single games.
For example, though Chelsea paid Manchester City a £3.5 million compensation fee for Daniel Sturridge in January 2010, they had also paid an extra £500,000 after each block of 10 first-team appearances, up to Sturridge’s 40th game.
Ferguson, meanwhile, decided to sell Morrison to West Ham partly in the hope that a change of environment might help him to fulfil his potential.
Despite being possessing a skill level rare among England players, as demonstrated so clearly by his goal in the victory away to Tottenham Hotspur last weekend, Morrison appeared destined to waste a career despite having first come to prominence aged just 15.
He has been convicted of witness intimidation and fined by the Football Association for posting a homophobic tweet, while at United he was habitually late for training and exasperated staff.
The cycle of ill discipline restarted at West Ham but he returned to the club this summer with a transformed attitude, partly attributed to his loan spell at Birmingham but also owing to the control exerted on him by senior players such as Kevin Nolan and Mark Noble.
Morrison made an impact in pre-season at West Ham and has become a first-team regular, scoring four goals – more than he achieved last season – and earning a call-up to the England Under-21s.
He made his debut when he started the European Championship qualifier away to San Marino on Thursday, which resulted in a 4-0 victory and a video of Morrison displaying an outrageous bit of skill as he beats three opponents. It has become an internet sensation.

Nah. Fergie has left other wise they probably would have. Moyes just doesn't have the same influence. They are on a level playing field now and judging by the reaction on their main fans forum (red café) they don't like it much

I can't see them finishing top four this season. How much is their annual interest on the debts the Glazers lumbered them with? That CL money is pretty darn critical I'd say. Worldwide sales for merchandise will probably see a big drop as well without any CL exposure.

Still think they have a pretty good chance to get in the top 4, they have one of the strongest teams in the division and more than half a year to get it right.
will be interesting to see if Ferguson's autobiography, out later this week, really does reveal anything that could impact negatively on anyone at the club.
