I honestly want to know more about this bit

the desire of Nemanja Vidic to enlist for the Kosovo conflict

He's Serbian. They were the bad guys.

I did always think he has something of the genocidal maniac about him.

genome Ferguson's autobiography raises some interesting* points

Wayne Rooney lost his "old thrust" in his final season in charge because he was not fit enough
He left David Moyes to decide Rooney's future after the striker expressed his desire to leave
The hardest part of Roy Keane's body is his tongue and he has the most "savage tongue you can imagine"
England will not win a World Cup until they can produce players as technically gifted as Brazil
He turned down the job of managing England twice
Cristiano Ronaldo was the "most gifted player" he managed and calls him a "wizard"
He told Ronaldo that he would rather "shoot" him than sell him to Real Madrid in 2008
The reason he fell out with Rafa Benitez was because the Spaniard made his attacks personal
He still does not know which Arsenal player threw pizza at him in the Old Trafford tunnel
Liverpool's decision to wear T-shirts in support of Luis Suarez following claims of racism was "ridiculous"
Ex-Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini was wrong to play Carlos Tevez again after the player had gone on strike

I kind of hoped his book wouldn't be so uninspired. Does he have any news on papal religions or ursine toilet habits?

I wonder if Adnan Januzaj has any feelings about that.

wikipedia Adnan Januzaj was born in Brussels, Belgium, in February 5, 1995. His father, the eldest of 6 children, had emigrated there three years earlier from Istog, Kosovo. Before that, Adnan's uncle, Januz, had already been in jail for 15 years for participating in a protest demanding more Albanian rights in Kosovo. Later on, Januz and another uncle of Adnan, Shemsedin, would join the Kosovo Liberation Army, which fought during the Kosovo War for the Independence of Kosovo. His mother's family, instead, had been deported in Turkey by Yugoslavian authorities, under a plan to surpress Albanian nationalism

Interesting? I can't see anything there that I didn't know already.

You look at that United side today and Van Persie and Rooney aside, for a club with title aspirations, it's shit. Compared to Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City, their midfield is shockingly workmanlike and lacking in creativity.

I don't think you get it m8. I was laughing at the fact people are quick to laugh at a team being 1-0 down where there are 90+ mins in a game.

I thought Hernandez challenge was similar to Dave Kitson's when we played there and he got a straight red card.
Both probably worthy of a yellow and yet , as normally happens in football, ref. bias towards the home side.

I was reading that Shawcross got booked post-game and Mark Hughes questioning it.

Simple answer, Mark, yes, the referee can do that. And its possibly the nearest Shawcross has coem to winning the ball cleanly in his career.

Yeah, that was pretty shit by Ashley Young. You also missed Persie hitting the post in the same place minutes earlier.

GRIM game of football.

Ashley Young is a disgrace, but nobody seems to care, if Suarez did that we'd have a full scale meltdown

Or if it were Johnny Foreigner playing against one of our sides.
I wonder if EUFA can ban somebody for blatantly cheating, much as what happens with Premier League players who are found guilty of serious foul play on review such as Fulham's Riether this weekend AGAINST Man Utd.

I despair at the way football is run at times. Any appeals against red cards are only ever upheld in cases of mistaken identity. Nothing is ever done to undermine the referee's authority. I see no reason why some assessors can't be locked in a room and given the chance to review the games. Then they can look at blatant cheating and deal with it appropriately. Slap a 10 game ban and a points deduction and soon the clubs would take the matter seriously. Then, the game becomes a much better spectacle.
