King of StingLacoste I'm not advocating sacking Moyes, but how long would you give him?
He has never won anything and TBH did OK with Everton but didn't really pull up any trees.
It was always said that it would be a great job for the person AFTER SAF's replacement. Who is out there that would give UTD the longevity that they want? I would go for Klopp but he will never leave Dortmund.
I think the Glazers (not Fergie) chose Moyes because he done quite well on a limited budget at Everton. They don't want to buy the real top players anymore. So they pretend to bid for the likes of Fabregas last summer. No way were Barcelona going to accept £30m. Bale for about £70m when Real Madrid were pushing close to £100m. They thought that if United turned into Arsenal (ie constantly qualifying for champions league without winning it) then there sponsorship deals etc would allow them to service the debt and make a tidy profit. That plan seems to have backfired though because 4th place is looking unlikely. They don't give a feck about United fans they just want to maximise profit. A full stadium for every home game with huge sponsorship deals without paying the real top wages (they wont really fight for Rooney to stay in the summer because of his £250,000 a week) is utopia for them.
What a load of sh*t.
You think they'll still get these massive sponsorship deals when they are struggling to finish 4th every season without any star quality players. They're businessmen, not stupid. The debt has being decreasing rapidly rencently, and they're new deal with Chevrolet and a renewal with Nike will mean that it is soon no longer a problem. With no debt, Man United are a money-making machine even with high salaries and high transfer fees. They still make over £130m profit every year despite having to service the debt they currently have.
