I'd love to see what Felix Magaf would do with our rotund Roy!

I thought his shirt looked a little baggier today and he probably lasted 25 of the 40 minutes he needed to. He also showed a bit of enthusiasm and had a fantastic shuffle and shot that just went over. Good signs!

Another team would only need to be partially insane to sign him up.

He's the most dynamic, skillful and creative player we have by a mile. His set pieces need a lot of work though. And his fitness obviously could use some work.

If Drenthe had a good run of matches i think we would see the best of him.....I don't think Adkins will give him that chance though unless we get injuries. He would be in my starting eleven all day long.He maybe fat but he oozes class

The one from open play or the one at the free kick where he bamboozled Jobi, himself and everyone in the ground.

I'm not sure if that was my favourite part of Saturday's shambles or whether it was McCarthy coming for a cross and wiping out Gorkss and someone else from his own team.

I think I'd stick with Mr (usually) Reliable on the left and the man with the most assists on the right. But I'd like to see more of Royston off the bench. Royroy is still a bit of a crazy loose cannon and lacking in fitness to be starting yet.

I think I'd still play Drenthe in the middle myself, behind Pogrebnyak, with McAnuff and McLeary supporting from the wings.

McAnuff doesn't score enough for that and we'd obviously been losing Le Fondre's goals but it would be the only way I'd put him in the side at the moment. The only other alternative would be to replace McAnuff, but I wouldn't do that within this team despite Drenthe probably being the more dangerous attacking option.

This.

Seems stupid playing him as a winger. His skill is incredible. He's just a complete asshole.

That's an option, I just wouldn't want to lose ALF from the starting line up.

I don't think Drenthe has shown enough to change the whole shape of the team to fit him into it; right now, we have a shape that has more successes than failures and that is generally progressing positively.

If leaving it as it is means that players like Drenthe (or Guthrie) are on the bench and will only get their chance due to injury/suspension, then so be it.

What's up Dave, you're usually only a day behind, not a year.
