kwik-silva :| yeah, but he was given the green light. As everybody's already said, you can't foresee the backer pulling funds 18 months later...

SPARTA
Royal Rother
SPARTA He relied on his fathers backing, and his father pulled him out.

How do you know that was the case?

It's very reliable. Someone I believe RL knows or certainly knows of, from discussing other bits with her offline in the past. Doesn't really get any more reliable than them. Many wont hear any defence of AZ, so no point pushing the defence.

Maybe you can't foresee it but you certainly can and should ensure that the sale agreement prevents that happening! And, if you can't do that, you don't sell a controlling stake leaving yourself with an extremely significant (and expensive) but potentially worthless 49%!

So you'd really rather SJM sold 100%, buggered off and left what remained of TSI to pick up the pieces when AZ pissed off. What a fool you are. You should be giving him some credit for ensuring that SJM kept himself involved and was there to sort this mess out.

Another potential new buyer emerges according to Dellor on Berks this morning. Unnamed consortium offering to clear all debts and due to meet this week. Apparently the HMRC debt has been paid off by a "lender" and this would also be cleared.
Dellor - according to sources the deal could be completed in the next 48 hours - hot off the 8.30 news

Interesting. Was there any details on who this new party might be? Could see Teddy and Mohit increase their interest too if there's more competition.

Dellor gave no names for the new bid, but did say Sagi had cooled his interest and also confirmed that Birman was flying in for talks.

Sagi is history now that Sam and Oboe have gone

Their mutually beneficial 'property development deal' has probably been scuppered.

Without wishing to claim to be shamelessly ITK, I do know someone who has had business dealings with Sagi in the past and his thoughts on him running a football club were significantly less than positive, so I'm quite glad to see him back away.

you want business deals that ensure the buyer cant decide to do what he wants at any given time with the company he has just bought?
