retro_royal Joined Chelsea for more money.
Left Chelsea for more money.

Pretty sure that's the way of the working world. Never joined a company for less money.

Hats off to Lamps, IMHO. Premiership Legend. Will be missed.

The only English team have won all three European Trophies.

European Cup.
UEFA Cup.
Cup Winners Cup.

8)

Why use 1 obsolete trophy but ignore the others?

No intertoto trophy on Franks mantlepiece

West Ham United
UEFA Intertoto Cup (1): 1999

floyd__streete Lampard off to play in the MLS, a league with all the intensity of a pre-season friendly. Meanwhile Gerrard looks forward to another season of Champions League football.

FL is two years older than SG....not really sure what you're getting at here

3rd?

Edit: Oh yes I see, forgot about him. 5th best midfielder in the Premier League era then.

You could add Rooney and his disappearing act in Finals.

Rooney always seems to be recovering from an injury when it comes to tournaments

It was also the one tournament he didn't go into with the nations expectations and hopes resting almost single handedly on his shoulders (if that makes sense!).

I think it might be one of the reasons Hodgson has been playing down Rooney's importance over the last few weeks.

Perhaps we should have a minute's silence tonight out of respect to Kes who will be watching through misty eyes as Fat Fwank says goodbye to his mum again and to England fans everywhere as the sun sets on his (unremarkable) England career.

Thank f/ck. Bye bye Lampard, Gerrard and hopefully Rooney too. Serial failures.

Up until now Frank hasn't been part of the first ever England team to lose their opening two game at a World Cup finals. Unlike Gerrard. At least Frank can't break that unwanted record.

No, Frank has the honour of not even being able to make the team that lost it's opening two games at the world cup.

Set to captain his side again, when the nation most needs the team to restore a bit of pride.

Pointless is the word that comes to mind when some people consider English players to be as good as their foreign counterparts. How many England squad players play their club football abroad? Why so few?
