From Despair To Where? Scholes and Lampard, absolutely chalk and cheese in that respect.
Well, Scholes and just about every other high profile player, TBF.

But now he's out of the limelight of playing for a huge club, he's been getting busier and busier. First he calls out Wilshere, now Gerrard - seems like cowards behaviour...?

sandmanBig FootYateleyRoyal Yes...posting about Lampard in a thread about Lampard shows obsession m8. Good one.
You miss the point
Of course this thread is to discuss the greatest English midfielder of our generation, but to use it to make a lie out of what he's said - that's obsession I'm afraid.
Maybe you should call Samaritans - 0845 790 9090
A damning indictment of the performance of your national team over the last decade and a half.
Big Foot Which bitter colony is it you belong to?

Lampard has had successes but one of the truly top tier great midfield players? Nah.

Woefully unfair. In the 05 season he was probably the best in the world. He has consistently been a top player since joining Chelsea. His goal scoring record is quite incredible. Sadly the anti Chelsea lobby fall for the 'fat frank' and 'deflected' nonsense and he was always underrated.
Same as Ashley Cole who has been Englands most consistent player for 10 years and gave his all yet the simple minds boo'ed him each and every time he ran out..John Terry was lamblasted for years yet the cries went out for him to to to Brazil because of the fragile defence lacked leadership. Which proved correct with our 3 games and out.
Fans don't like Chelsea so their players must be shit. Fans 'love' Liverpool so their players must be great.. Football fans are so simplistic
However Lampard is well past his best and the last 3 seasons he has been overall poor. Going to ManC will not help him in any way shape or form.IMHO

Didn't Wilshere say that he and Scholes spoke at length to each other about those comments? Surely a "coward" wouldn't have spoken to the person they criticised and would have just ignored the guy.
