No Fixed Abode I occasionally go to The Temperence before Chelsea games. Food isn't great mind.
:D

But great selection of beers and lagers

And great graffiti in the toilets.

Big Foot
PieEater
Big Foot I wasn't at the game on Saturday but heard that the stewards were being massive pcunts - including refusing a young woman with terminal cancer from getting in, saying that she was "drunk". When she told them she had terminal cancer and weeks to live, they replied with "why do you still have hair then?" and ripped her ticket up.

CLASSY

But was she also drunk?

I thought they were OK, there were lots of people standing in aisles or the edge of the row and they weren't at all bothered that they were many people not sitting in their seats.

Again, I wasn't there - but from people who were consoling her at the time, she'd had 2 shandies & the reason why they may have impacted her was her illness. Either way, absolutely abhorrent comment from the steward in question & I hope he and the rest of their stewarding team gets their comeuppance & get smashed by another set of away fans.

I thought the stewards were VG but this incident is appalling if true.

Royal Blue 5 points out of a possible 15 is still far too close to relegation form for comfort. I've a feeling that SC's honeymoon period is likely to come to a pretty quick end unless we start to get some wins under our belt; and for that we need to add a decent striker!

Agreed. It should be 8 points out of 15 though, if only our players could show a bit more discipline and concentration.

That steward was an absolute helmet. Didn't let a few guys in for being tipsy (but not at all rowdy) and ripped up their tickets. Then somehow this young lady got hers torn up by the same steward too.

More realistically it's 5 from 12, plus a cup win

He could hardly have much of an effect before the Watford game

0-1 L Watford. Too early to judge

2-2 D Brighton. Brighton won their next 3 games
2-1 W Norwich. Top Result!
0-1 W Huddersfield. Boring but classic away performance
0-0 D Middlesboro. VG Result
2-1 L Fulham. Played really well, should have won, mugged in injury time.

If you saw the Watford game, the play was considerably different and better than some of the more recent performances under Adkins. How much of that was Clarke doing anything compared to the players wanting to impress / giving up on previous tactics is unclear.

Getting mugged at the end is definitely better than getting a beating from midway through the first half, although at the end of the day it's points win prizes.

Watford: Smash and Grab
Brighton: Smash and Grab
Fulham: Smash and Grab

Might be 5 from 12, and have all the positives associated with good performances but there's also a worrying trend. If we're saying we 'should' have won against Fulham/Brighton/Watford we probably deserved to lose against Middlesbrough also.

Oh well.

To post another cliche, Clarke should be judged at the end of the season, not after 6 games.

I think that applies more to players, rather than managers....

Both he and McCleary had worked the opening really well. The easiest part of the whole move should have been to have poked the ball into the back of the net! Believe you me, the miss looked even worse from behind the goal!

He didn't even kick the ball!

I'm wondering if he was trying to do something flash and just ended up on his arse looking stupid.
