£1.5million plus says the sun. Alan Nixon says that we have contacted the club and the player. The player is up for the move but we need to outbid burnley and Celtic.

Why more fooking midfielders? The priority list is
Striker.
Left Winger.
No. 10.
Centre Back.

We need a midfielder about as much as a right back!

He's an attacking midfielder. I'd argue we lack one of those more than we lack a striker.

Well that's something then, although I'd differ and say we definitely need a striker and a No. 10 would only be useful. What's his scoring record like? Sod it, I can look it up myself.

11 goals last season.
Bit of a winter splurge this season to take him to 6.
But not much scoring record prior to that although obvs he'd have been pretty young back then.

Decent height, not too many cards, pacey, aware, tidy feet, unselfish. oxf*rd it, there's nothing not to like in his 2013/14 Youtube montage either.

To be fair that is YOUR priority list and Clark will have the only list that matters
He will be factoring in how he wants his squad to look for next season and will have a good idea who may not be here...

Nothing new but...

READING LEAD RACE FOR ARMSTRONG

Championship side Reading are set to pip Premier League Burnley to the signing of Dundee United Stuart Armstrong, reports the Sun on Sunday.

The Royals are ready to bid £1.5m for the player's services which would blow both Burnley and Celtic out of the race for the midfielder, who is reportedly happy to move to England's second tier.

It's the priority list based on what we have in the squad and where our problems are. And given the rumours about Vibe and the attempt to keep Murray plus Armstrong being an attacking midfielder who's scoring goals, I'd say it's reasonable to suggest Clarke has similar priorities. Although he may have more faith in HRK than me.

No it's what YOU think we need. Clarke, as Nameless has pointed out, will know what he wants. And he is the manager.

For example he might be looking to play one up front and boosting creativity in midfield.

They will be looking ahead, and if clarke thinks this guy is better than what we have then it is exactly what he should be doing. After all the current lot are not setting the division on fire.

Exactly. i reckon Clarke sees enough in the squad to keep us in this division this season so it's all about who he wants here next season and beyond.
