Snowball That is a helluva goal, but is it legal to loop the ball out of the ground on the way to scoring?

Shame we couldn't make Drenthe work out.

I like having oddballs, crazies in the squad, wish modern thinking would allow managers to play at least one. Life isn't about efficiency, it's about MAGIC

I was brought up on Stan Bowles, still miss Bikey

Shame you continually seem to miss this and try to base the game on statistics.

I don't "base the game on statistics"

I refute dumb scapegoat arguments after games by looking at facts

I don't watch the game with a notebook and stop-watch, but I know we only
"see what we want to see" over-emphasise goals or bad mistakes etc.

Snowball That post about Royston made me wonder

I see he has had 3 goals and an assist in 103 less minutes than
at RFC this season where he scored a single goal with no assists.

He's mostly starting and getting the full 90 minutes

Drenthe scored two league goals for us and got several assists.

linkenholtroyal Could james McLean be the answer at lm if Wigan go down, fee and wages may be within our grasp, seems quite exciting :D

From what I've seen of him, he's basically the same player as HRK. Three of his goals this season came from playing as a striker.

Agree with Athletico that we shouldn't sign players who have been convicted of speeding without a license.

Ill give you 5 that have played at lm Lawrie Sanchez, Stephen Hunt, Jay Tabb, Ray Houghton (played for ireland) Michael O'neill (was on loan only for short period but does count.
it wasnt really that position i was on about more the lack of irish contingent in the first team there was a time when there was 5 or 6 in the squad. they always seemed to perk the squad up and brought a gd atmosphere to the club. there is cox kelly and pearce but they dontquite have the same charisma and only one of them was actually born in ireland

Of those you listed in your 5 only 1 was born in Ireland as well!

To top it off 2 aren't even Irish players.

I said THIS SEASON, where he scored 1 in 788 Minutes (I meant for Wednesday)

in the PREVIOUS season he scored 2 with 1 assist in 1,461 minutes

Lump the two together if you like

3 goals and 1 assist in 2,249 750 mins/goal or 562 mins/goal/assist - - - Championship (over two seasons)
3 goals and 1 assist in 0,685 228 mins/goal or 171 mins/goal/assist - - - Since we got rid of him

That's a huge upturn a 330% improvement
