QPR have saved around £7-8m a year in wages just in Barton, Rio and Wright-Phillips leaving.

Lot of talking to be done by both sides to agree some paltry amount which they'll both hope to sweep quietly under the carpet. It'll be termed as a "final warning".

Bournemouth have signed Josh King from Blackburn, a very similar player to Callum Wilson and Lewis Grabban before him.
They certainly have been quick off the mark with new signings and aren't resting on their laurels-they may also get Gray from Birmingham who tormented us last year.
Surprising what can be done when you have a Russian owner with money.......oh, the crucial bit is "with money".

I think Bournemouth's approach has been the model to follow - grab a combination of proven and emerging talent at sensible or free transfers and set wages according to the division they are in (so I have been told, at least). I also think they'll be okay next season - there will be at least three teams worse than them next season.

I wish this could have been us before our first PL relegation :-(

Having a Russian Billionaire who actually has money helps a bit as well.

Love the hype in the local paper:-
"....having impressed in the Premier League on loan at Everton...."
but later the reality:-
"...made just one Premier League start against Crystal Palace in August...."

It's a bit like when we sign a defender and we get:-
"....is a centre-back who can also play in midfield...."when in fact the player is a centre-back but it sounds better that he might be versatile.

BTW it would be good to hear of us signing somebody.

Obsessed.
This was clearly a comparison between Reading and Bournemouth's rich Russians-Liverpool haven't had a Russian yet.

But you've spent a lot of money regardless. If I spend a lot of money - it doesn't matter if I get it from Natwest or HSBC.

'Pass the phone to Jonas.'

Newcastle can't get anything right. Ryan Taylor and Jonas Gutierrez let go on the same phone call.

He's had that knee problem, but we could do much worse than Taylor (and Gutierrez for that matter) if not picked up by the likes of Watford or Bournemouth.

Given the state of the ground at Selhurst, he'll need to be careful of splinters.

Would not surprise me one bit if the FL have said to QPR off the record, look we are going to have to impose a transfer embargo on you to be seen as some sort of punishment, get your transfer business done before 1 July and then we will announce it runs until 01 January 2016.
