Royal Rother Yeah well, fair play on that one.

I mentioned it on Twitter the other week. I don't really know why BT sport have Savage on Champions Leagues matches. He doesn't have any experience in that competition at all.

What about Gabby Logan? Does she have any Premier League experience? No. Or would you rather only men presented football programmes? You fcuking sexist.

Calm down to a panic m9. I didn't mention presenters. That's fine.

And you experience of playing football professionally and therefore being able to comment on Savage's knowledge is?

You'd have done better to take Ourboros' argument, which is correct

A personal thing. I'd rather listen to the opinion of someone who has been there and done it.

I'm sure your wife thinks you're good looking but I'd take the opinion of a better looking less frumpy bird over your missus.

Surely they are there just to give an opinion on what is in front of them - i don't see what the competition has to do with it. Savage has played Premier League, International, and UEFA Cup football etc so it isn't exactly like a bloke down the pub giving his view is it?!

Actually in agreement with JT on this. There are now so many channels and so much airtime to fill that the spread of decent, educated and well-spoken ex-footballers being sought an opinion is at its very thinnest. There just aren’t enough to go round, hence why the likes of Savage are on the telly more than EastEnders.

Michael Owen's been there and done that as far as football goes but he's pretty much the most tredious pcunt ever to pick up a lip mic, so where does that leave us?

Are we sufficiently far into this week to assume Costa got away with his kick on Skrtel?

What is the timeline for the FA charging someone?, sometimes it seems super fast.

Clattenberg has already said he saw it and doesn;t think it warranted even a yellow card so case closed.

Makes Kes' bitching about Lucas and Can not receiving 2nd yellows look even more myopic.

Think its more the "twitter" affect. Savage gets the work because he has an "opinion" on everything and one he's quite happy to change every other second and say very loudly. That appears to be all you need to have these days, no need for backing it up with knowledge or professional manner in imparting that knowledge.

John Terry exclusive, The Premier League is a "really bad level".

Strange that he doesn't care what Savage says yet takes time out of his press conference to mention him  . We know his legs have gone but didn't realise his head had gone as well. Chins Up JT.

So basically where does this leave us with regards the media (papers etc)? - i mean are we supposed to disregard every journalists view on a game of football purely due to the fact they've not played the professional game?

Sorry TBM, they're not allowed an opinion. We also can't leave reviews on the film review thread now, because we're not Hollywood directors.

Not at all. When he booked Mikel for one foul that wasn't even worthy of a yellow. Chins up m8!

And like I said - when the FA decided to rescind Gabriels red card for a kick out at Costa - they can't punish anyone now for the same offence - otherwise they'll look even more stupid.

But it's good to see Howard Webb gunning for Costa saying it was a definite red.

Barring the Liverpool game he's correct.

We should have beaten Stoke in the cup - we were the better side
We should have beaten West Ham - we were the better side
We should have beaten Kiev - we were the better side
We beat Villa - we were the better side

Should have, could have, fcuking didn't. Well done, you were better than the worst team in the league. Such lofty ambitions for the current champions. And therein lies the problem. Chelsea are losing games that, by right, they shouldn't be. That's not down to luck.

JT'll be telling the press Chelsea are too good to go down next.
