I went to my first game in 1987, a year before the Simod Cup win..... sadly I didn't get to go, The town was eerilly quiet - few cars on the road, few people about, tumbleweed blowing across the Inner Distribution Road (I may have made that last bit up).

I'd like to think that successful cup run is part of the reason the club have always taken cup competitions seriously over the years.
