Can not get in the Bournemouth team, proven scorer at this level, would not cost a fortune.

Has been injured again.
The start of this season was when we should have pushed the boat out and gone for him.
Instead mid-season we went for ( and amazingly actually forked out half a million for him) Kermorgant who is even older and has had injury problems in recent years.
Now regrettably Murray is probably too old.

Wouldn't want him back. I'd much rather see us delve into the lower leagues and find another Long, Doyle, Kitson, Cureton. Players that have the hunger which we miss. Not players that have had their day and just want to milk clubs for every penny before hanging up their boots.

I agree with you.... We need to look for the upcoming stars of the future.

We've already shelled out good money for one old blank firer from Bournemouth. Don't need another.

I'd take him back. If we had him, I'd keep Cox for a year too, they had a pretty good understanding.

Pretty sure Kermorgant got an 18 month contract didn't he? I don't really want him, but can't see him going anywhere.

What about Craig Tanner? Can play wide as part of an attacking 3 and has also played as a no. 10.

My expectation is that Reading will offer him another 2 year deal in the summer, after his loan at Plymouth, and to get some game time for us next season.

I haven't followed him at Plymouth, do you think he's ready to step up ?

I think we just need one decent goalscorer to lead the line. Cox, Rakels, Samuel and Tanner are all decent options to play off a main striker or as two of a front three. Not keen on Kermorgant, but again I think he'd work ok with someone who's scoring.

I think Cox and Tanner could play at the tip of a diamond. Rakels, Cox and Samuel could play with a good scorer in a two. Samuel and Tanner could play as the right forward. Rakels or Fosu as the left forward. If any of them take off and start scoring regularly then Kermorgant would do alright leading the line and feeding them.
