Top Flight McDermott is the one who will fix it and in that regard with 9 players already out the door, he is doing a pretty good job of clearing out all the bad characters. His real work has only just begun.

How is he doing a good job of clearing out anyone? Everyone who has left was out of contract or a loanee!

Ok, let's have it the boo boys way. He's doing a bad job. I'm not saying that you're a boo boy Ian. I know you support Brian and will give him the time to sort things out. You take the balanced, reasonable position. I am an extremist Brian lover. Get the extremists off the forum.

To be fair, you're praising McDermott as doing a pretty good job for doing the square root of nothing so far. Maybe he might've tried to keep a couple of the loanees from leaving, which he may well have done and failed at, but bascially he's just watched those leave that were leaving.

If you call that out as doing a good job then you can expect to be pulled up on it so don't you can't really get too defensive about it.

Top Flight On what basis is Parkinson a better manager? I love Parky and would love him to be our manager in the future. But not right now.

He's got more experience and has got two teams promoted. He might still get one of them up again if they can over turn the defeat to Millwall in the first leg.

He's done pretty well in the Cup with Bradford too.

Top Flight By the way huge title decider about to kick off in Iran.

http://www2.live.irib.ir/

A final day title decider between 3 teams.

Esteghlal Khuzestan 54pts
Persepolis 54pts
Esteghlal 51pts

Last game of the season about to start. Persepolis and Esteghlal are the big clubs with huge support. 100,000 fans are packed into the Azadi stadium supporting Persepolis right now. Esteghlal Khuzestan who are currently ahead on goal difference are the smaller, unfancied side. the surprise package.

You can bet on the games at bet365

http://www.bet365.com/home/FlashGen4/WebConsoleApp.asp?rn=13902771927&stf=1

These are the three games that matter.

Esteghlal Khuzestan Vs Zob Ahan
Persepolis V Rah Ahan
Saba Qom Vs Esteghlal

It'll be interesting to see how this big day of football turns out. I reckon the small club will pull it off, although they don't have an easy game. Last day nerves could get them. Persepolis should win their final game.

Esteghlal will find it tough away to Saba Qom and they are the team that bottled the title run in. But Khuzestan have held their nerve like Leicester and will probably finish the job.

What happened?

Fair enough Hoop Blah. Maybe I come across badly sometimes. I was just trying to balance up the anti Brian movement. Because not everyone is anti Brian and I'm certainly not.

I've also said, and this is my true opinion on the matter, that in this current stint as Reading manager, you cannot judge his time with us as a success or a failure at the moment. That is what I genuinely believe. He hasn't had enough time yet in the job to really do the job that needs to be done. I think it is ridiculous to judge him as a failure right now which a few people are doing. He hasn't succeeded yet either.

However, his previous stint as Reading manager, was, in my opinion largely successful. Not everyone agrees with that. Some people think Brian did badly because we got relegated from the Premier League with a side that was weaker than 18 other teams. But, I rate his previous spell as our manager as a pretty good success only bettered by Coppell. If he wasn't prematurely sacked, I think we would be in a much better position as a team and as a club than we are currently. A MUCH BETTER POSITION.

In the end, it played out exactly as I thought it would. Esteghlal struggled away at Saba Qom, falling behind and then equalising but continuing to bottle it. Persepolis in front of a partizan 100,000 crowd got the win that they needed. It was 2-1. But they didn't win by enough to make up the goal difference, because the unfancied Leicester City style side carried on winning and won their final game as well to take the title. So in the end, I won some good cash from the bookie.

These are the types of leagues where you can make money at the bookmaker as long as you follow it and see what is going on and try to watch the games. I've struggled to make money on the Championship. I find it impossible to predict. Although, all my hunches were right on the Reading V Preston game, but I didn't pull the trigger on my hunches and ended up losing money. If Preston didn't score at the end I would have won that bet. I find it too difficult to bet against Reading. It ruins my enjoyment of the match. I can't watch Reading hoping for them to lose. Although a lot of the blokes around me are regularly betting against Reading and winning. I can't do it myself.

I tried betting on the Egyptian Premier League, but I can't watch the matches so that is a bit difficult. But the A-league and MLS have been fruitful. This year, it was always good to bet on Leicester. They kept winning, and the bookies never really fancied them to win the way they always fancy Chelsea for example.

The Environment Agency has opposed REP. Something about the shade over the river affecting wildlife.

According to the official site. Season ticket sales are UP this season.............

Does anyone actually believe that? It looks like Ian Royal didn't get his refund then.

Here is the story:

Season Ticket sales exceed 2015 renewal deadline figure

At 5pm on Friday, the Season Ticket renewal period came to an end.

A direct comparison between the number of Season Tickets sold at the point of renewal deadline in 2015 and the number sold at the same deadline this summer, reveals that sales are up ahead of the 2016-17 season.

We would like to sincerely thank all loyal Royals who have bought or renewed their Season Ticket and pledged their support to Reading Football Club once more next season.

Our supporters continue to be the heartbeat of this football club. Thank you.

Also Reading BC have concerns regarding the density of the buildings, as it appears too much is being squeezed into the space.

Just a few weeks ago they were at a record low for the Madejski Stadium. Did they extend the deadline at all? I suspect there's a little bit of misleading going on.

Everyone has a different opinion, but those that matter have a difficult decision to make, it's a tough job whoever accepts it ...

"...ahead of the 2016/17 season." That suggests last season's sales at this point were higher. Very poorly worded. As RR has intimated elsewhere, encouraging the correct use of English is the most important thing at this difficult time.

It's possible that there were an increase in under 7's. The free under 7s deal was available last season as well. I took advantage of it with my 6 year old, who is 7 this season. So we get 2 free seasons for him.

Regarding the Environment Agency questioning the REP development for the sake of a few ducks and geese on the river. I hope they were equally concerned about the impact of HS2 on many thousands more ducks from London to Birmingham.

We have a severe housing crisis in the South East of England with massive house prices and rental values. There is a serious lack of supply and the environment agency wants to block a much needed development that could provide homes for potentially over a thousand people?

Housing is a nightmare for young people. I think it is a little bit more important to provide homes for over a thousand people than it is to worry about a few ducks. It's a good thing if the area around Mad Stad will be a bit densely packed. There'll be more demand for entertainment venues that will remain viable and make the match day experience at Reading FC more enjoyable. Obviously match day parking would be a problem. They will need to build that monorail system.

They only shifted 240+ free 7's last year so don't get to excited there being many more of them unless someone in "a pair" has given a adult seat up but secured seat for "under 7"
