genome Higuain turns down £800,000 a week from Hebei China Fortune

Good for him

He doesn't need the money, so just play at the highest/best level you can, whilst you still can.....

Arsenal will never do anything all the while they have a dinosaur in charge with a archaic, dinosaur mentality about them i.e. spend money

Says everything you need to know about a player to move from a club in the champions league and offered 100k a week to a club not in the champions league just offering more money.

Black person chasing money shocker.

Could be a good opening for him, as long as he doesn't make an arse of himself

Got a feeling Vardy will regret not signing for Arsenal now, especially if Mahrez goes as well....

Ganso joins Sevilla for €9.5M

He was the lad that every top club was linked to 4-5 years ago as the next big thing from South America. He had a serious injury that put him out for a while but now got his big move.

Sevilla have made a number of signings already this summer, I haven't heard of them but apparently all very impressive. One to watch out for this season maybe.

Looked a little boy lost in the Euros and this just smacks of a guy without the confidence to test himself. He's left Bayern to play for his former club, and a club that won't challenge them.

No, was that rumoured? I'd read about interest 'in England and in Spain' - and when he first broke through at Dortmund he looked like becoming one of the world's best footballers.

Add Gotze's decision to Kante's as weird ones, imho.

How can you say Kante's decision is a weird one?

He's left a club with 1 Premier League win to join one who has won it 4 times and has some of the worlds best players

It's not as if he's gone off and signed for Hull

I've got previous on here on this. I'm after the NBA model without the rigid structure that surrounds that league, I appreciate that won't happen. It's a shame Kante has left Leicester - what he did at the club was part of a real achievement. In contrast, Sterling (for example) has 'achieved' nothing at City, although he has 'collected' a League Cup winners' medal.

So yeah, not a weird decision per se, it's just a shame the best players don't stay spread amongst the Premier League clubs a little more. There's an inevitability about these transfers. From the outside, Kante isn't going to top last season unless he drags Chelsea to a Champions League win. In two years' time. I understand the move from the perspective of status, and money and (arguably) potential in a couple of years' time. But why not test himself in the Champions League now?

Vardy must be feeling pretty stupid/frustrated at knocking back Arsenal (was that even real?) and then watching two of Leicester's best players leave. I wouldn't mind betting he'll be available come January or certainly next summer. He should have bolted while his stock was highest. Leicester will be bottom third next season.
