Black History Month, Favourite Black Reading Player.

by taipairoyal » 30 Oct 2016 13:33

I dont think this has already been covered, so in celebration of Black History Month who is your favourite Black Reading player?

I would go for

1. Michael Gilkes.

2. Steve Richardson.

3. Andy Alleyne.

4. Jason Roberts.

5. Martin Williams.

...worth a rare venture onto the TB for this:

1. LINVOY

2. GILKSEY

3. SHAKA

... with a nod for long service and dedication to the cause in difficult times, to Stevie ("OFFSIDE !") Richardson (10 yrs) & Keith McP. (9 yrs)

(.. Sonks deserves a mention too but I consider his value has to be viewed as a 'greater whole than the parts' alongside Ivar - but here you go ...)

... and btw Jimmy K. would never be lowered enough to be considered part of any poll obvs. 8)

In for the Salako

Hardly our best evers but, Tony Rougier, Keith Jones and Shaun Cummings always intrigued me.

Andy Alleyne always

I really cant decide on this between

Michael Gilkes
Shaka Hislop and, surprisingly,
Mikhail Antonio

Think Mr Gilkes would just edge it though

Special mentions for Keith McPherson and Ibrahoma Sonko.

What about White Man History month?

You never hear anything about us in history. We are the forgotten people. When do we get a voice?

Its political correctness gone mad.

Against them?

It makes it sound like you squeeze alongside women in crowded trains for a cheap thrill.

It's a hobby, I suppose.
