Seemed to follow the same pattern of a few of our home games this season. looked good in the first half with players looking comfotable on the ball. second half made it difficult for ourselves. BC can probably be justified in feeling hard done by. 25 efforts on goal with only 7 on target. i guess they only have themselves to blame for not getting something from the game.
debatable pen from where i was sitting, bit the lino was alot closer to make the call. and THAT save from AHH. probably deserved the half time two goal margin.

PS, please take Garath off pens, i had a fiver on Williams to score the first goal...

Difference was that Brizzle were half decent, esp up front. Much better side than the dross we've played recently

As for Tubby Tomlin, I said he wouldn't last a full 90 and he didn't. And whilst he was on I couldn't see anything to justify rave reviews.

I thought today was a reality check. Brizzie were the most vibrant team imo we have had at the Mad Stad this season and we were hanging on a bit in the 2nd half. Three or four players are carrying the team, and the rest seem incapable of digging in when it matters. But hey ho a wins a win.

Obita 6: After last week, a bit of a turn down this week.
Moore 9: MOM holds the defence together-really up against a class act to day as well.
McShane 6: Bit of a struggle;but I seem to be on my own here as a lot of people had him down as MOM.
Blackett 8: A real defensive rock.
Evans 6: Disappeared again 2nd half.
Williams 6: Blowing out of his a**** 2nd half.
Macca 8: Our best attacking player, I assume he was injured to be taken off.
Beerens 6: Great goal but that was about it.
Samuel 4: Oh dear a weeks a long time in football

Can't agree with that marking (not sure how Moore carries the defence if Blackett is a defensive rock !)
McShane was superb, real determination and commitment throughout.
Evans was always making himself available but the job he does is never going to be high visibility.
Williams was making 50 yard runs right to the end

Waved away the penalty for starters - thank goodness for Bristol City's favourite Assistant Ref!

Waved advantage when one of just two players we had breaking forward was flattened and left on the ground leaving the other player to take on three defenders on his own!

Being balanced, missed a clear handball in our area by one of our players in the first half. Let AH get away with murder in terms of holding ball in hands and general time wasting.

Overall that's extremely harsh. When you consider that the core of the BC team have played together for some considerable time. Certainly all round the best team we've played in recent weeks. At times in the first half the football played was sublime. The passing crisp and fast. The second goal being one of the best in terms of teamwork so far this season.

Samuel providing an outlet than Yann could never do now. Never going to win an aerial battle with 2 towering defenders.

McShane was MOTM. Made some really crucial tackles. It was blood and guts stuff for most of the defence. I'm still not sure on Blackett.

Thoroughly enjoyed their no 2 having an Ian Harte gif moment on the corner of our box in the first half.

Sat at the other end, but the penatly looked a bit iffy from where I was. It'll be interesting to see the replay.

Not only do we have a really good team, we also have a team of determined battlers who will put their body on the line and know how to grind out a result. We have a identity.

Guessing he was taken off because of being on 4 yellows, and we'd already lost Moore for Fulham at that point.

To be fair to the ref you cannot say awarding our penalty was getting anything wrong ! It was a good example of the officials working together.
He missed quite a lot, but then if he'd blown for everything we'd have called him whistle happy. Two annoying ones though were the blatant rugby tackle on Danny which led to Danny getting a formal warning for complaining about and the massive handball by one of their forwards in the first half (he'd overshot the ball and reached an arm back behind him to control the ball)
Overall though I thought he was ok.
