Missed against Fulham at home - Beerens scored the follow upCountryRoyal wrote:Has swift taken a penalty for us?Vicky Pollard wrote:At least he stepped up to take them on both occasions though.TBM wrote:Poor Swifty - 2 penalty shoot out defeats in a matter of weeks

Now need to sign up Obita for a couple more years as well.
Heard nothing on Evans being offered one - his runs until 2019 still though. Obita's however expires in 2018.bluerinse wrote:Need to sign up Obita for longer, and what has happened to George Evans and a new contract? But did you hear anything on Swift being offered a new one?maffff wrote:Heard nothing on Evans being offered one - his runs until 2019 still though.bluerinse wrote:Need to sign up Obita for longer, and what has happened to George Evans and a new contract? Same with Beerens. The amount of points those two won us last season shouldn't be underestimated, even if it didn't look like they were setting the league alight.CountryRoyal wrote:The thing is I will say about Swift, is quite often even if he's played absolutely dire for 89 minutes, he quite often came up with a match winning assist or goal.
No - but I was referencing this comment "and what has happened to George Evans and a new contract? Wouldn't be surprised to see Evans signed up either now or early in January if his performances continue. Tidy player
Yep yep yep. Bit like Le Fondre too in some respects.genome wrote:Same with Beerens. Also easy to forget that this was his first full season..urz13 wrote:Easy to forget he's only 22. Good move by the club as he has huge potential - 9 goals and 10 assists is superb for a CM/CAM in this league - the only players who really have better stats are Cairney and Johansen from Fulham, Hourihane from Villa and Hoolahan from Norwich. And all of those are 26 except for Hoolahan who is in his 30s, so all are significantly older.
Goes to show what an important player he could be for us over the next few years. Having a deal this long too means that were we to sell him, we'd probably get £10m+ at absolutely minimum (most likely a fair chunk more in today's market).
