Nobody cares about good news anymore, there are probably thousands of great news stories that are never brought to our attention each day because good news just isn't interesting. Hardly a shock. Same in most forms of life, bad news gets people more engaged. Remember from doing the podcast a few years back and I think something like 8 out of 10 most popular podcasts were either after heavy defeats or during slumps in form. When we were doing well, less people listened.

It’s a fair point. It suggests some posters only decide to post to complain about the club. Miserable oxf*rd. I was surprised more didn’t post after the Hull game which turned out to be really enjoyable.

Is it not common sense that a loss or poor performance evokes more debate, dissection and analysis than the opposite? Far more to talk about than “yep played well today. That’s more like it”.

That just seems obvious.
