- watched Marcus's lads overcome in-form Reading City 3-1 at Magpie La last night (Tue) -
- the big fellah brought himself on for the last 20' with the game gripped at 1-1 - had an immediate & disruptive effect on their visitors back-line, as his very presence caused the young City defence to panic and give away a succession of free-kicks around the box. One floated cross was expertly cushioned in from close range by him, with several defenders 'hanging' off him, trying to hold him out. 
Sadly not much later, he 'chased' a through ball (was offside anyway) and 'something went', 
requiring him to be subbed off with about 5' to go. Took about three to carry him off!
- there goes their Plan B for next Sat when they are away at Dartford-based Sutton Athletic in the FA Cup.
