Green Were there actually any altercations, or are we just talking about tutting and disapproving looks from the Reading faithful?

Jerry St Clair If you're an adult and you're getting upset because people who support a different team to you celebrate when they score a goal, you need to have a word with yourself.

Go up to Leeds and do the same in their stands when we score an 87th min winner and explain that sentiment to them. Good luck with that.
Give them enough tickets (allowing for home supporters demand) would be the best idea, after that only due diligence by all parties will prevent too much trouble. Leeds do it everywhere and cause grief, they're a pain in the backside.

Snowflake Royal When it's a problem every year, how hard is it to restrict sales to people who have bought a home ticket for a non-Leeds game in the last 12 months?

Lets be fair about this, the normal allocation for Leeds in the past has been 4800 and then you still had hundreds in the home ends. You then reduce the allocation to 2300 and then wonder why you still have Leeds fans in the Reading areas. You have deliberately given the away seats over to a singing section when you have a North stand practically empty. Go to any club and the main (singing section if that what you want to call it) fan base is usually behind the goal their team is shooting against in the second half. So the solution is to move that section of fans to the North end, call it the KOP ( just to give it a bit of KUDOS) and give that section back to clubs with a large following especially LEEDS.
Leeds could be bottom of league, never won an away game all season and would still sell 4800, even more if the allocation allows.
Anyway, good game and Reading did well to keep Leeds out for so long but for the last 20 mins the inevitable happened when your players started to flag.

Clueless
Why would we want you to have more fans there? Surely that helps you, not us?

Old Man AndrewsJaytee 1. Not sure what the barriers outside gate 2 were intending to achieve but all it did was to "kettle" everyone, increase tension and ensured that most were not searched or put their bags on the left shoulder and walked past the security.
2. Leeds supporters everywhere in Upper West and elsewhere in the ground- Stewards pretty useless. Fist time I have seen it "kick off" in the VIP seats Upper west!
Some idiot Leeds Fan thought it would be a good idea to be in Y26 - I don't think he will make that mistake again . I know its difficult but the Club should be more diligent as to who they are selling tickets to (I know that a lot would have been local Leeds supporters).
As for the match - we just need some spark up front - Meite works hard but just not good enough, probably one of those like Antonio). needs to go elsewhere to blossom. Puscas - not sharp enough at all and doesn't really fit in . Thought we might just hang on as the defence was superb at times (yes even Gunter shone), but they nicked it and they are top of the League.
Why do you care? Get over it.

Leeds fans feel entitled to other clubs running things to suit Leeds. They're champions, don't you know? They sang about it last night and all - I think they thought we'd forgotten.

Jackson Corner Ever wondered when we were in the Premier league the ground was full and now it’s half full? Those people are not Reading fans they follow(not support) big clubs and come as its there once in a blue moon chance to see them play live. It’s the same last night how many of those Leeds fans in the home end have even been to Elland Road? I don’t have a problem with it as long as fans respect the home club and keep quiet. I have done it plenty times with Reading over the years.

Funny you mention that, I saw this quiz on BBC but Leeds miraculously weren't there...

Again, can you define "grief"?
Annoyance because the person sitting next to you has a different affiliation to you? Why does it matter? Literally every other sport this isn't an issue.
Lose the tribal mindset and grow up.
