Yeah I am going from the angle of a person, i.e a footballer, can easily afford a driver for the night or a taxi. Joe Bloggs might struggle with that so take the risk. Not that that is an excuse mind.
Agreed, I don’t understand why footballers just wouldn’t get a taxi/hire a driver.
Same as for Joe Bloggs I assume, convenience and the fact that they're pissed is impeding their judgement.
I can't imagine many, if any, drink driving incidents occur because Joe Bloggs is trying to save 15 quid on a taxi (to my mind most drink driving is within a few miles of home not an expensive cab ride away), it usually bravado and impatience.
It's no excuse though.
