The Independant While no one sees an expulsion from the Premier League as likely, the Football League have recently changed their rules so that any club in that situation must start again in League Two.

Franchise FC This has all the makings of a 'Bosman' moment for FFP.
Man City win this and the floodgates could be opened.
Anyway, Brexit means UEFA have no jurisdiction over English clubs, right ? That's what Ian Holloway thinks.

Well that patently isn’t true. UEFA is the governing body for football across Europe and not every country in Europe is in the EU (eg Switzerland, Norway etc.) therefore if UEFA wants to ban a naughty club from their competitions then they can do so..

Winston Biscuit Not winning an appeal would also mean they have broken Premier League FFP and would face a points deduction

Old Man Andrews They'll get the ban suspended on appeal won't they? This is just UEFA making a statement knowing full well the court of arbitration will overturn it.

Which is crazy, because they either broke the rules or didn't.

I'm not sure, but are the rules different for Uefa and the Premier League?
One thing I did hear today is that City are being hit hard because of their deception not the actual breaking of the rules.
