Problem for me is I can only really answer AFTER the appointment

If it’s someone half decent or very decent then yes, I’m no Bowen fan.

If it’s Mark Hughes or someone who got a random foreign team mid table In their third tier of football in their country then no.

A definite no from me. The last thing we need just before the start of a new season is another manager with a different philosophy and approach. No wonder we have no recognisable style of play.

I suspect you’re right. As a club we are in a constant state of flux with a never ending turnaround of managers and players. We end up with no identifiable playing style and continue to struggle. This is not the way to run a decent football club.

Rumours of ex Beijing Rehne boss Aleksandar Stanojevic replacing him, did well at Partizan but barely survived 15 games anywhere else. Not convinced the owners have chosen him given the earliest candidate seems to be pure media speculation.

Erm... wtf is going on?

Noone was expecting this. I suggested possibly Xmas time if we're not doing well but now!???

Anyway, it could be a blessing in disguise for Bowen. The safest thing for his longevity at RFC is to move up to DOF rather than chance another few more months as manager then get sacked and there be no role for him to go back to.

We also don't know what was said when he was appointed. It took us (and him) by surprise when he was appointed didn't it? I wouldn't be surprised if it was a case of not wanting to rock the boat too much with financial constraints etc so jsut gettign Bowen in to steady things while they look for the man they want, with th offchance that he may turn into a star manager. And now that he hasn't (not bad but not brilliant) they're thinking they gave it a go and now will get someone else in. i.e. Bowen may well have been aware all along.
