Ya man said we're hoping to bring in 4-8 players. Reckon def mid and LB cover are the priorities. Would be nice to have a couple of wingers as a plan B. And I do think we need someone who can hold the ball up when Joao is inevitably injured, hence the interest in Mendes (assuming he is that player, as like most people I know fcuk all about him). If we do bring in an extra striker, doesn't mean we're not actively trying to fill the other holes. Or... Kia Joorabchian is just picking names out of a hat.NewCorkSeth wrote:Just to be "that guy" for a second, why are we looking at strikers right now? Can we please look at the holes in our squad first?
Certainly would be nice yes but I think everyone can agree Puscas looked a lot better at his hold up play towards the end of the year, given that behind those 2 we have Meite and 3 more strikers bringing in another without shipping out those other 3 seems exactly how we got such a bloated squad.Pepe the Horseman wrote:Ya man said we're hoping to bring in 4-8 players. Not necessarily so, Reading are apparently currently in advanced talks with Mendes, however Almeira do also have an offer on the table.Stranded wrote:All major Portugese sports sections running with him going to Almeria - so think we can move on from him now, unless there is a dramatic U-turn.
He apparently also now follows a car leasing company tied to the club on Instagram and hid sister follows Reading but his girlfriend follows Almeira, so fcuk knows really.Sutekh wrote:Not necessarily so, Reading are apparently currently in advanced talks with Mendes, however Almeira do also have an offer on the table.Stranded wrote:All major Portugese sports sections running with him going to Almeria - so think we can move on from him now, unless there is a dramatic U-turn.

Which I totally agree with, we don’t need 7 strikers

I don’t really understand what the goal is. Are they trying to make the club rush an announcement? Are they peacocking their ‘superior knowledge’? I don’t want to run it into the ground if I’m missing some reference or joke or something.Snowflake Royal wrote:This "Announce x" trend is just fricking weird as well.
Can’t find anything more recent than 3 days ago for those, which precedes the chronicles article so I’m not convinced.TiagoIlori wrote:Looks like he’s set to join Almeria having flown to Spain on Saturday to finalise a move according to O jogo and A Bola
