Messi penalty

Then puts the ball through for a cracking second goal

They’re going to win the cup aren’t they?

Not been watching but just saw the HT clip. Are the people in the studio on glue?

That was an absolute blatant penalty. Loved the bit from Walton “bUt WhAtS tHe KeEpEr To Do”?

“Win the ball for a start”

They just had 5mins to fill and no more highlights to show. Bet Neville and Keane will change their mind about that type of foul next time it happens to a Man United striker at Old Trafford.

Didn't realise the final was a 3pm kickoff, just assumed it would be 7pm.

Think 3pm is probably the least worst for all time zones.

Other than Messi I’ve been quite impressed by Macallister and Enzo Fernandez plus Emi seems to be as good as ever.

I have known about Enzo for 2 years because of SoRare, the NFT based fantasy football game

he is one of the best players on there

I was even gladder that Argentina won when I saw that Croatia had won once (against Canada LOL) to get this far. Can't believe people celebrated their win in the quarters just because Neymar did a dance

Genuinely think Argentina will win it now. Think France (should they beat Morocco) have the stronger side on paper, but I think Argentina get the feeling this will be their year, doing it for Messi, the fans they take etc that might just give them that extra few percent in the final to see them through.

Even though the individuals might not be as good as France's, I was impressed last night with their defensive performance against Croatia as they look like a well-drilled, compact unit. Having said that, Croatia were (and have been throughout the tournament) very blunt going forward after the goals.

I may be wrong but I get the impression that France may be somewhat more potent going forward than Croatia

It's Messi's tournament and of course the first since Diego popped his clogs, more effective than Brazil being inspired by Pete being a bit poorly

True, but France hardly looked like they were going to tear us open at every opportunity on Saturday night and our defence isn't exactly the best in world football either. Different game though really, but yes France should provide more of a threat than Croatia.
