Leeds sign 20 year old Georginio Rutter from Hoffenheim for €28M + €12M in add ons. Looks like some kind of fancy dan forward who loves a trick or two.

Chelsea hijack Arsenal's deal for Mudryk by spaffing 100m

I had never heard of the bloke two weeks ago, he's 22 and has 9 league goals in his career. Wtf is going on?

Chelsea have certainly put a lot of faith in who they are signing this window, not just for the fees, but the length of contracts. 7 years for Mudryk, 7 and a half of Badiashile and potentially more. If these players end up underperforming, don't settle, want to leave etc in even 2 years time, they'll still have 5 years+ to run on their contracts.

If a new manager comes in and doesn't want either of them, they will be tough to move on or if they are underperforming and want to leave, moving players on with 5 years left to run on their deals will be really tough.

Including 60 million cucurella whose been utterly shite this year (still remember him hilariously literally standing still from a corner whilst it went in) and overshadowed by a 19 year academy graduate today

It's crazy, right?!

They are setting up the sort of situation Utd had. A ton of deadwood that you can't shift due to the contracts

The ability is there, not convinced by the application of it on a consistent basis.

UEFA to amend FFP rules from this summer to close the loophole being exploited by Chelsea. For deals completed from 1 June, no contracts can be spread over more than five years, for the purposes of FFP - will not apply retrospectively.

This. File with Diogo Jota. Very good players, but can't help but feel like they should be scoring more, assisting more, making more headlines.

Trossard looked decent when he came on against Man Utd. Could be an excellent signing for them at that price which is cheap considering some of the expenditure we are seeing.

This is the way I'm looking at it. A relatively cheap signing that'll help get them over the line.
