You should have said hello foc.

Loved that tonight and great for Basingstoke to double the crowd. Got there just after kick off and parked down the lane, that was an experience.

Binfield keeper made two brilliant saves but the clear opportunities fell to Binfield and they should have scored.

When that winner went in we celebrated like a Reading goal and great reaction by players coming over to us at the end of the game. Pitch looked decent but played terribly. Must of been like playing on a pudding. Ball hardly bounced Basingstoke are now in a brilliant run of form and it’s theirs to lose. Hope they get over the line.

Last night (Tue 31st) was fairly busy locally
.. quick round-up:

NAT
Sh!ts good run of late halts with a home defeat by Boreham Wd 0-1
Eastleigh's rescheduled game with Barnet also ends in home defeat 0-2
Woking drew 1-1 with Torquay
NAT-N
Brackley drew a blank up at Scarborough
NAT-S
Farnborough 1-2 Hemel
Hungerford 1-1 Chelmsford

SLP-S
Hartley thumped again this time 1-5 by Chesham who are now level on points with 2nd placed Truro.
Beaconsfield bring a point back from the far west following a 1-1 with Parkway

IL1-SC
As Basingstoke opened up a 7 point lead with the win at Binfield, elsewhere in that division Northwood were surprisingly undone 1-2 at home by Bedfont Sports and Westfield edged past Ashford T 1-0

CCL-PS
Leaders Ascot bt VW to go 7 pts clear of Reading City
Holyport shared 6 goals with Chalfont and Wallingford edged past the 'Sumas' 2-1 @ Hithercroft.
Haven't sought out a report of Windsor's capitulation at NGU yet - thought I'd spare RR any further trauma.

In the Southern section Farnham won 2-0 at Horley; leaders RPV bt Knaphill 4-0 and Baggy Lea put eight past Alton without reply.
Fleet Town hosted Jersey Bulls and were beaten 0-2 crowd was 225

... and finally Whitchurch grabbed a welcome away win down at Folland in Wessex One

Massive game (relegation battle) for Windsor v Wokingham.

I've not been going much this season (the club is flat, dying on its feet, supporters droving, and the football is poor) but this is a big one so I will traipse along and show my (dwindling) support.

CCL- PN current table, I would say that Windsor will only be really "in it" if Wokingham win.

P - PTS
1 Ascot United 19 - 52
2 Reading City 18 - 45
3 Flackwell Heath 21 - 44
4 Egham Town 21 - 42
5 Burnham 21 - 38
6 Edgware & Kingsbury 21 - 32
7 Wembley 18 - 27
8 London Lions 18 - 26
9 Hilltop 21 - 26
10 Virginia Water 18 - 24
11 Holyport 20 - 24
12 Spelthorne Sports 19 - 23
13 Wallingford & Crowmarsh 19 - 22
14 North Greenford United 16 - 20
15 Harefield United 16 - 20
16 Windsor 22 - 20
17 Broadfields United 20 - 19
18 Chalfont St Peter 18 - 16
19 Wokingham & Emmbrook 22 - 14
20 Oxhey Jets 18 - 8
3 points were deducted from London Lions for fielding an ineligible player

Division winners promoted plus runners up if their ppg ratio among the best runners up in the Tier 9 (Step 5) divisions. The bottom team in each Step 5 division will be relegated along with the four teams one from bottom with the worst points-per-game record across the sixteen Step 5 divisions.

If anyone is desperate to see a game on Wednesday( like me :) ) the old enemy Oxford Utd have a home FA Youth cup 5th round(last 16) tie against Leeds at the Kassam KO 7pm. Another new ground for me to tick off.

And of course Wokingham did win.

I would be very happy to be wrong but I think it is bottom 2 automatically relegated this year.

What you’ve said above sounds like last season’s info.

...from the latest League Bulletin:

Promotion & relegation at Step 5 (Quick summary)
Club finishing 1st is promoted to Step 4
Club finishing 2nd will play off against a club at Step 4
The two bottom placed clubs at Step 5 in each division will be relegated to Step 6. The FA will determine the appropriate Step 6 Division, based upon geographical location

Great wins for Eastleigh and Basingstoke - a play off and a promotion as champions will be a wonderful outcome for this household.

Dipping into NL/FA Cup territory here….and possibly one for PtR

Sheff U v Kabota FC tonight….Sheff player inexplicably bear hugs his opponent around the chest and neck, preventing him from playing or progressing the ball (in his pocession), the ref blows up the blatant foul…no booking….why no yellow card?

I can't see Bracknell making automatic, bit too far away and Truro are very strong. I really like the managers at Bracknell but I think this might be a step too far for them. If they could have kept hold of Bobby Wilkinson then I would have a lot more faith in their promotion push.

AthleticoSpizz Dipping into NL/FA Cup territory here….and possibly one for PtR

Sheff U v Kabota FC tonight….Sheff player inexplicably bear hugs his opponent around the chest and neck, preventing him from playing or progressing the ball (in his pocession), the ref blows up the blatant foul…no booking….why no yellow card?

Think i saw that one - is that where the Wrexham player turned him halfway in own half and striker had a bit of him but player was as you described.

If so - yellow all day long - can only think he felt it was 60/40 and let it go somewhat in terms of punishment.

Royals and Racers If anyone is desperate to see a game on Wednesday( like me :) ) the old enemy Oxford Utd have a home FA Youth cup 5th round(last 16) tie against Leeds at the Kassam KO 7pm. Another new ground for me to tick off.

Match postponed - now Wednesday 15th
