Some non league sides charge more than us, I`m expecting another freeze, certainly not a raise.

I will even though I was going to wait to see who we appoint first as manager. This club have driven me to despair over the last few years. I feel this club are driving me away sometimes.

Kind of irrelevant what other clubs charge - more what price is optimal for bums on seats and gate takings.

Arguably it's quite an exploitative market as fans won't typically jump ship to another club to save a few quid on the gate, like they would yo say shop at Aldi Vs Tesco.

Tickets are cheap enough and are a contributing factor to our atrocious revenue.

Our fair-weather fickle support more so.

Well quite but if the performances were better the “fans” would come. We’re frustratingly still a pretty small club with an appropriately small fan base to boot. We didn’t even sell out Playoff final.

I suspect it was more a comparison of price/value, rather than suggesting fans would be tempted to other clubs by cheaper tickets.

Torquay, for example, will be charging £22 to stand in the National South next year, roughly double the normal ticket price.

I suspect a price freeze for us will be passed off as some kind of compensatory gesture.

RoyalBlue And just how does forcing clubs to lose all their valuable playing assets for bugger all and, in most cases consigning the clubs to relegation as well ensure financial sustainability?

It does it by punishing clubs who refuse to stick within acceptable* loss limits.

The complaint is a bit like asking how being relegated helps us put out a more competitive Championship team.

* i still think the £39 million over three years limit is far too high.

Yes we're making the same point - what other clubs charge is irrelevant.

If we charge more than most, it will disgruntle people.

But ultimately the only thing that matters is if the club is performing on the pitch.

Would like us to heavily reduce the costs for midweek games, we have to get people in through the gate. It has been awful for a few seasons now, even when we have been doing relatively well.

I suspect there's a FL rule stopping that.

If they freeze prices, which I imagine they will do (not a great look to increase prices after a relegation), I'm getting one for next year. League One will be fun.

Took me far too long to block Loafer, sick of hearing how he's supporting other clubs.

I’ve thought for a while the club should sell weekend season tickets (ie. season tickets only for games played on Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays), especially for the younger age groups. This would minimise the number of seats ‘sold but vacant’ during midweek and perhaps encourage more people who can’t get to midweek games due to work commitments to be ‘locked in’ for the season.

The club could do offers with local businesses (eg. those in Green Park) for reduced price tickets to increase attendances during midweek.

I think the club need to have a little more imagination when it comes to midweek tickets to encourage higher crowds.

More free tickets to schools and on a more regular basis always helps boost crowds, and those kids are our future fanbase.

Maybe some bulk ticket deals. Buy 3 tickets and get a 4th half price. Buy 5 tickets and get a 6th free. A family ticket for 2 adults, 2 kids/2 pensioners for a reduced price...

We should definitely look to incentivise ticket sales.
