This club is a disgrace.

Why do they keep appointing these god awful loser managers.

Why do they keep persisting with these god awful defenders.

Why is it always the same one dimensional paceless game plan.

Why do so many supporters still bother going.

Only silver lining is that the solution is obviously. The cup team is now the league team.

Unacceptable performance second half. All of them were just crap. Could have lost that 3-0

Awful awful awful

Every time they attacked the looked like scoring and until about the 95th min we looked utterly toothless

Defence a disgrace. Absolutely ruined by the PV front line

Play the kids again. That was shocking. And why bring off Ehib instead of Carroll who looked like he’d never played a game of football before.

Shocking stuff

WestYorksRoyal I get that Selles is a professional, but it's amazing how often the fans know best. We've been saying that Yiadom, Tmac and Holmes have grown used to giving away goals and losing. We've been saying that Carroll isn't suited to the new style. Then the academy absolutely bossed Millwall in midweek without said players.

I still think Selles will be a good appointment, but this loss is on him. Learn quickly to prove me right.

Agree with this, I’d drop all of them, losing mentalities and just not good enough. We had 1 shot in target. absolutely dire as usual.

RoyalBlue Posh boy Dellor moaning that the management team aren't losing with 'dignity and grace'.

Urging everyone to have a go on the show and they'll 'pass it onto the club'. Like f*ck he will! He'll hide and continue to lick posteriors.

Fcuk me if the management lose with dignity and grace after that then they should be immediately removed from their job

Imagine winning 4-0 away to a team in the league above, then making 8 changes. Tuesday will tell us a lot about Selles.

To anyone who went to the game, did any of you spot any sign of the high press that Selles supposedly likes his teams to play.

Not really. Knibbs ran around a lot and tried but seemed to be doing it on his own half the time. Ehib started well then got isolated and didn’t do a lot

Marginally improved after the subs but then the defence went from crap to utterly crap and we kind of lost any shape

We'll have to get used to losing to these nothing clubs unfortunately until Dai Yongge pisses off.

I don't like slagging a player off during a game but the players deserved that stick at the end. We were second to everything, created nothing, looked like conceding every time Port Vale came at us.

I'd be ok if we battered them all game but we were comprehensively outplayed and outfought by a team who's players I'd never heard of and aren't even named after a place.

Raging, another Saturday ruined. Hopefully this is just a hangover from last season and not the sign of what's to come. Wouldn't be surprised if it is as the clubs a cesspit.

Ian are you happy now? We're still losing games but we get to play Cambridge.. yay

I don't think Selles will play the Millwall side in the league. And I think if he did they'd lose quite a lot.

It's really depressing to see that despite new coaches and new players, the club is still rotten to the core. Selles seems yet another manager with a treatise on the philosophy of how to play football, only to forget to do simple things like pick your team to play to its strengths, set out a clear way you're going to win and simple patterns of play to achieve that.

Its all back to tedious shite of Stam where we all stand around looking confused, playing stupid and/or pointless passes and wonder why chances haven't miraculously presented themselves on a silver platter, and the opposition have grown in confidence and don't feel the need to worry about defending. And when they do present themselves, we miss.

Much like Posh, a game that was flipped on one moment. This time it was Carroll's missed penalty, when all belief and desire left us. Vs Posh it was Kelv's snatched shot straight at the keeper.

At least it provided the club's one shot on target in the game so be thankful for small mercies.

Penalties never used to count towards shots on target. It's one of the ways you'd get games with a goal scored but not shots on target stat

How do we go from a team who comprehensively beat a good team the league above us, to losing to a team perceived to struggle this year?

Like, how does that happen???

If the first team can't hack it,the kids certainly can. And technically they cannot lose any more than the first team.

Let the youthful energy at it. Unleash them.

Wasn’t even that bothered when he missed the pen as we were so utterly dominant at the time I thought we’d coast to a win anyway. How wrong I was

Holmes, McIntyre, Hutchinson and Carroll just don’t fit what I think he is trying to do with this team. The performance of the two CBs second half was as poor as I’ve seen for a long time, Carroll was beyond bad and Hutch just seemed to take all the momentum out of our game. You can’t play that pressing game when 2 of the front 6 are so immobile

NGW was pretty poor at the back but basically our only threat for much of the game

I wanted to give the Toms after I thought they were fine vs Posh, but as you know I've never rated the pairing. Too slow. Dropping both may be a step too far, and Dean looked no better to me tbh. I'd probably play Abbey and McIntyre with Mbengue concussed.

I think maybe NGW should get a go further up the pitch with Carson in. Azeez is doing nothing. Carroll looks done. We need much more presence in midfield. I'm very not convinced by Button. Selles is looking like what I feared, but too early to do anything but back him right now. It's 3 games.

I think I'd go:

....................Button
Yiadom, Abbey, McIntyre, Carson
...............Savage...Wing
...Camara.....Knibbs.......NGW
..............Ehibhatiomhan.
