NathStPaul Eden Hazard retires. Great player in his prime.

Reckon it’s because he’s already got really fat.

He, Eden, is one of those whose form dropped of a cliff so quickly you’d think he was walking along the Jurassic Coast.

Him and Dele Alli

Huh? Hazard was at the very top for a good 4 seasons or so wasn't he?

Maybe longer than that.
Just as soon as he got that ankle injury he seemed to forget how to play

Grouping him in with Dele Alli is harsh imo.

 er, yes, that's a good point
Just the form falling off a cliff bit, rather than absolute ability

I hear Chris Gunter keeps emptying Hazard out of his pockets. At his peak he played us 3 times in 2016 Euros. W0 D1 L2...... :D :D :D :D

Too early really for 106-watch, but Leicester and Ipswich are tearing away at the top of the Championship, with 30 and 28 points respectively after 11 games. No team has ever had 27 points or more at this stage in the second tier and failed to be promoted.

As for our record, Leicester's start means they need 'just' 77 points from 35 games, which could be achieved with (say) 24 wins, 5 draws and 6 defeats. Which feels very do-able at the moment.

Fwiw we had 24 points at this stage in 05/06.

Cheltenham Town reverted to type last night, scoreless in their 2-0 home defeat to Newport in the EFL Trophy. They now have two goals in 15 games in all competitions this season.

Italian FA and the Italian Public Prosecutors Office open an investigation into football betting by Newcastle's Sandro Tonali

Not really one for footballing conspiracies, but Klopp might have a point on this one. Liverpool's derby with Everton has been moved to a 12.30 kick-off, meaning that Liverpool have played in that early slot after all three international breaks this autumn (City game also brought forward in November). This sees (for example) their South American players arrive back in the country barely 36 hours previous.

It evens out over time - sure. Except that this is the 14th time since Klopp took charge that Liverpool have played in that slot. Next highest is Spurs on 6. Does feel a little unfair.

Leicester do appear to be a real threat to the record this year. They look a complete team and nailed on for promotion.

Italian media claiming that in yesterday's hearing, Tonali admitted to gambling on AC Milan games when he was there, though says he only did it when he was injured or suspended and never gambled on a match he was playing in

Re-iterate that Reading's record would still be reasonably valid if Leicester do break it as Reading did it without the aid of parachute money and more or less a squad full of ex-PL players.

Given the plethora of league records we hold or have held, I think we can be more graceful than that, should Leicester get there.

Chelsea’s set up seems really good but Arsenal have been so poor.

Raya’s good start has now been forgotten and Ramsdale should get his place back soon.

Edit.. a minute after posting the above he tries to give them another one. He looks shot.

Edit 2 - Sanchez says anything Raya can do I can do better.

I presume Klopp wants today’s game replayed because of the failure to send off Konate
