Imagine the disappointment. Rumours flying around that your club is about to sign an established international from the EPL and it turns out to be Demarai Gray.

It's like Omar Daley all over again.

Cracking move for Gray though, swapping Everton for a skip full of cash.

Phew, at last relief that now none of Reading's players can be enticed to Saudi until January at the earliest.

Indeed, although I do remember him just as he was starting out thinking that he was going to be a pretty big thing. Guess he just didn't develop as much as he could've/looked like he was going to.

Italian media say Juventus are in talks with Man City trying to sort a 6 month loan deal out for Kalvin Philips.

Juve lost Pogba to a drugs test and Fagioli to a gambling ban so are a bit desperate for a central midfielder

Bayern have signed a 17 year old highlight reel from Adelaide United for a snip at less than £3m. Nestor Irankunda has played 38 times in the A-League, and will now move to Europe.

He does things like this.

First two free-kicks are spectacular but its the third and fourth goals that really catch the eye for their power. Reminds me of a young Wayne Rooney.

He is technically eligible for Tanzania (his place of birth) and Burundi (where his parents are from), but they moved to Australia when he was three months old, and there seems little doubt he will play for the Socceroos.

A-League record fee as well.

Am I the only person who noticed the net wasn't attached properly on the 3rd goal?

If he picks Australia, he's pretty much guaranteed to play in every World Cup.

Aside from his technical ability, he looks physically strong for a 17 year old.

Newcastle look likely to sign de gea who is still a free agent to replace Pope who is out for 5 months after dislocating his shoulder at the weekend.

Could be a good move for Newcastle. De Gea still has a lot to offer imo and goalkeepers don need long to get up to speed.

Some rumours in Spain that Real Madrid also want him. Kepa now out injured, who was backup for Courtois who is out injured.

I was surprised they didn't go for DdG when Courtois went down injured initially.

I think it came down to budget, Madrid brought Bellingham in which ate into a lot of it.

FWIW I think De Gea should go to Newcastle, great move for him imo.

Yeah, fair points and agree with both, tbh.

At the time Courtois went down DdG was probably holding out for a longer contract not just a one season deal like Madrid were probably looking at. He can't afford to be that fussy now, leave it much longer and doubts will creep in from clubs about how long it'll take him to get back up to match speed. Deal to the end of the season at Newcastle would suit him perfectly.

Getafe Vs Rayo kicks off shortly

Getafe were given a stadium ban for a game due to silly behaviour in 2017 and this is the game...so Getafe have arranged with Atletico Madrid that they will use their stadium for it instead and they have given all season ticket holders access to it

How does that work then? If a club is forced to play behind closed doors, surely it doesn't matter where those doors are closed?
