Reading FC won’t be in action in the competition for a fair while, but the 1st round was drawn today and is
Abingdon Utd v Aylesbury Vale Dynamos
Winslow Utd v Holmer Green
MK Irish v Risborough Rangers
Buckingham v Wallingford & Crowmarsh
Chalfont St Peter v Penn & Tylers Green
Holyport v AFC Aldermaston
Windsor v Burnham
Windsor & Eton v Wokingham
Langley v Berks County
Reading City v Milton Utd
Sandhurst Town v Woodley
Ties to be played ON Tuesday 10th September
Teams with a bye into round 2 are
Amersham Town
Newport Pagnell Town
Wantage Town
I am surmising that 2 rounds will be played with above teams which will get 7 winners.
Round 3 will see the 13 senior non league teams enter to make 10 matches
Round 4 will be 5 matches
The QF’s will see the 3 league teams( Reading, MK Dons and Wycombe ) joining the 5 winners.

I have had confirmation from the Berks and Bucks FA that this season at the request of the leagues, each round will have one date when all the matches will be played( 1st round Tuesday 10th September) The only exception to this is if 2 teams groundshare and are both drawn at home.

...according to NLM, Chairman has been posting on TwiX apologizing for result and citing 10 players had left before last night's tie!
Might have presented a challenge getting a side out then?

Sad really as only two seasons back witnessed them absolutely destroy Berks Co in the CCL1 PO semi-final.
They'd looked at least a couple of STEPS better than the level they were at, on that evening anyway.
- never really recovered from losing the subsequent PO Final to 'money-bags' Rayners La ....... then backed out of a League Cup S-F @ Penn & TG citing lack of players!

Yes they do but far less teams - only 18 in the Senior cup( as against 41 in B & B )and less of a standard, with only 10 step 6 and above. ( against 41) I think teams now in Oxfordshire compete in ours because of the old County boundaries.

They aren’t Oxfordshire teams. They are from the historic county of Berkshire and have probably played in the B&B for decades.
The B&B FA are based in Abingdon…..there remit covers not only B&B but also South Oxfordshire and the Vale of the White Horse.
Bit like the England cricket team is called England but includes some colonial outposts as well.

They aren’t Oxfordshire teams. They are from the historic county of Berkshire and have probably played in the B&B for decades.
The B&B FA are based in Abingdon…..there remit covers not only B&B but also South Oxfordshire and the Vale of the White Horse.
Bit like the England cricket team is called England but includes some colonial outposts as well.

A nice reminder at how old school and reluctant to change the FA are.

Why would they change their name or organisational structure? Afterall the counties will probably change again within the century.
