Hendo
From Despair To Where? Gives them the opportunity to sack him for breach of contract. Not suggesting it's a stictch up but given their precarious FFP status, it wouldn't surprise me.

The Mutu conundrum. Why is it always Chelsea's overpaid flops that fail drug tests?

Mudryk has got to be one of the biggest premier league flops of all time.

Well, an FFP busting £60m plus an 8½ year £100,000 a week contract would suggest so.

All the more incentive for Chelsea to rip up his contract.

I saw his YouTube reel before he went to Chelsea and expected big things from him.

Reminded me of Overmars...lighting quick!

I'm probably getting my FFP workings upside down - but if Chelsea ripped up his contract, wouldn't they have to write down the remainder of his transfer fee, i.e. roughly 7/8ths of £60m?

£5m a year is of course a decent saving in FFP world, but I think it would stick them with an immediate £50m problem this season.

Talk is that he took some drug while on international duty but that it’s not a banned substance in Eastern Europe or something so the usual grey and debatable murk will follow.

Meldonium. It protects tissue damage which means he could push cardio harder and it would help recovery. WADA banned it 8 years ago as they class it as performance enhancing.

'it demonstrates an increase in endurance performance of athletes, improved rehabilitation after exercise, protection against stress, and enhanced activations of central nervous system (CNS) functions'

Same drug that Sharapova was caught taking and subsequently was banned from tennis for.

Fulham do Chelsea. Seems 10 man Liverpool getting a point off them was a ******* good result.

Very good side in good form.

In fact Liverpool's only defeat, albeit at home, against Forest, has some additional context now that they are sitting second in the table.

Forest v Liverpool, I think due in a couple of weeks, is going to take on huge proportions and surely will get live tv treatment rather than being left to “rot” while Sky do another City and/or Utd game.

As part of ongoing investigations the PL are looking into a £6M offshore payment made by Arbamovich to the agent of Hazard so that the deal to sign the player would go through.

Reportedly they were deep in talks with Man Utd for him to join them but they refused to make the secret payment to the agent, so they went with Chelsea instead.

Isn’t there a precedent over this sort of thing? Swindon? If so could we see Chelsea regulated? Well, you can hope

Since Boehly arrived in 2022, Chelsea have spent around £1.4bn on 42 players, and that’s before Belgian goalkeeper Mike Penders, ( £17m ) or ( £29m ) Brazilian Estevao Willian join this summer

And still the insanity continues as they’re being linked with Huijsen, Guehi etc. for starters, wondering if a lack of CL money and having everyone on stupid 5 year plus contracts could catch up with them sooner than later, particularly when they run out of things to sell to themselves (though expecting them to start selling their players to themselves next).
