So were they playing “spotlight” keepers or did the referee have some sort of nightmare?

2 players went to the side looking like they were being subbed off, but one was just getting instructions, 4th official let 2 subs on, then instructions player turned and ran back on to the pitch. Play started, then when the ball went out of play they noticed

The article I read suggested goal went in while 12 men were on pitch, but it turns out it was after the lad had finally run off.

Strasbourg lost at the weekend, but Liam Rosenior does seem to have turned their season back around (they started really well, then went on a terrible run) and they are in 9th place, 6 points off a European spot

I have no idea whatsoever if Moise Kean is good or not.

He got 4 goals in 39 appearances for Everton. Disaster of a signing.
He went to PSG on loan and scored 13 goals in 26 games in Ligue 1. Great. Everton just an aberration, right?
Permanent move to Juventus where he scored 11 league goals in three years (79 games), including none last season. Disaster. PSG the aberration?
He then moves to Fiorentina, in the same league, and has 15 goals in 22 games in Serie A this season.

No clue.

He was 19 when he went to Everton. 19 y/o playing abroad in a not very good team. I can see why he may have struggled.

He was also injured a fair bit on his return to Juventus.

European Golden Shoe standings:

1. Salah - 22 goals - 44 points
2. Kane - 21 goals - 42 points
3. Retegui - 20 goals - 40 points

Thats Mateo Retegui, who joined Atalanta last summer and is tearing it up in Seria A

Hoping for the big move to Brentford in the summer.

Every time Kane scores - it is 73 goals and 22 assists, in 74 games for Bayern now - I am reminded that Barney Ronay thinks England should call time on his career.

As with entry for the CL, the owning organisation has probably banned all the leagues they perceive as being “cr@p” from it, totally missing the point that the level is immaterial.

Not quite. Golden Boot was organised by Equipe, a newspaper. There was a brief paddy in the early 90s as all these extra countries and leagues started.

They rate goals differently, the only time post this joyous spell when a not-top-league player came out on top was Henrik Larsen for Celtic.

David Taylor (born 25 August 1965) is a retired Welsh footballer and current manager. A former forward, he won the European Golden Shoe during the 1993–94 season with Porthmadog.

After he retired from Football, David established a career in Insurance as a senior claims advisor for Towergate Insurance. In 2023, David retired and now spends his time following his beloved Bolton Wanderers. David also does a lot for his local community in Bolton and is regularly found playing the role of Father Christmas during the festive period.

3 draws in a row for Napoli means that a win tonight for Inter in the Derby d'Italia would see them go top, for what is, iirc, the first time this season

Straight red for Bellingham yesterday. Spanish telly did its lipreading thing and claim he was arguing with the ref and he said 'I am talking to you with respect....f*ck off'

But also said when the players were arguing after he showed the red card, the ref said to Modrid 'he told me 'f*ck you''

Espanyol-Bilbao match suspended due to racist chanting from the Espanyol fans towards Maroan Sannadi.

Spanish football fans continue to disgrace their country in front of the world.

Very tight in Segunda Division, where Granada are in 8th, but only six points off the top of the table. Mirandes finished 18th last season, but are currently top - they have never played in La Liga.
