It appears after getting some legal advice.. we can actually be liquidated/admin while RC holds the Liens. So all this Couhig is saving us narrative is actually nonsense.

East Grinstead Royal SDR constantly referred to Pardew as “the vicar.” I often wondered why.

morganb There was some chatter on Twitter yesterday - some of it hidden - but the salient point seems to be:It appears after getting some legal advice.. we can actually be liquidated/admin while RC holds the Liens. So all this Couhig is saving us narrative is actually nonsense.
Make of that what you will...

stealthpapes Was SDR the 'get rid of Pardew before the Brentford game because he won't win it, bring in ***** (who I can't remember)'
Then spent the close season saying he was right because we drew the game.

LUX That Waylon Mercy character on BBC football comments seems reasonably similar to SDR.
I always found SDR to be anything from mildly annoying to amusing.

That always seemed hot air to be honest, and somewhat immaterial, as the threat to the club isn't administration or liquidation right now, it's being thrown out the league.

Elm Park Kid Say we come down to the point where Couhig has basically checkmated Dai legally and he has no avenue to sell to another buyer in the time frame. At which point Couhig offers the same deal as he did last year and Dai is left deciding whether to accept or let the club die.
What do people think he would do? Legitimately?

The EFL held their board meeting on Thursday and have given us another 2 weeks until 22nd April to find a new buyer (or to be close in negotiations). We were very relieved that they have granted this extension and in doing so they recognised some of the complications making our sale more difficult than others. We know it has been made more complicated by Mr Dai himself, and by the involvement of Rob Couhig. Mr Couhig is doing a lot of media at the moment and is very keen for us all to hear what a great owner he would be. We know that by him holding on to the liens, it has made the whole deal less attractive to buyers. The claim that it would stop us going into administration is not true, however it would put Mr Couhig at the top of the list to buy us. Mr Couhig holding the liens may make it harder to liquidate - we hope we never have to find out.
STAR are of the opinion that the judge last month provided a clear sale pathway and we need everyone involved to do what is right for the club, not purely serving their own interests. We need the club saved and we wait to see who steps up to the plate be that the person in exclusivity, Mr Couhig or someone else.
We wrote to each of the Directors of the EFL, asking for their help and asking them to remember what the impact would be on our whole community. We received some heart-warming replies from some of the CEO's from other teams. They explained that they understand our feelings and emotions as supporters. We understand however that it is competition, and at the end of the day there are some clubs that would benefit from us being suspended from the league.
