Final match for the U 21’s and although nothing really on the game it was a decent performance with both goals coming as a result of Brighton defensive errors. The Royals started the match in 24th( out of 26) and finished it in 19th.

It does feel like all 4 should have made the step up by now; they’ve had opportunities

So sadly I agree

Every time Ive seen Senga he looks promising.

I'd keep him for another season. The others I agree, although the cupboards are starting to look bare at CB. Not very impressed with Stickland, Dean will go, Bindon is gone, Mbengue could go... Kanu ok.

Sackey could go.

I’ve always liked the look of Senga as well - but he doesn’t seem to even make the first 11 in the u21s when they have everyone available nowadays. Hunt would know him better than anyone and he hasn’t been involved in the first team squad hardly at all

Stickland is a maybe for me. Not sure if he has what it takes. Holzman a no. Kanu I generally like, he is a bit younger as well I think, time to improve

I’ve seen Borgnis a few times and looked quite good

A great opportunity to watch the current U 18’s group next Tuesday evening 22nd April when they play at the SCl stadium against West Ham in the final of the PL U 18 Cup KO 7pm.
With the U 21’s finished for the season it should be a strong side the Royals can put out. Reading definitely will start as favourites as we are above them in the league.
This will be just my 2nd opportunity to watch the team this season with the previous occasion at AFC Dunstable at the end of October when we crashed out of the FA Youth Cup at the 1st round proper stage.
3 remaining league matches for the U 18’s are.
Saturday 26th April Arsenal away
Wednesday 30th April Southampton home ( Bearwood)
Saturday 3rd May West Brom home ( Bearwood)

Final 2 regular season matches played tonight in the PL 2 and as a result we finished up in 20th place, which sadly means no play-offs and if we are still Cat 1 next season no International cup for the Royals in 2025/26.

Not sure what we were doing for their goal, no 4 was never going to cut cross out where he was positioned, and 2 or 3 West ham players totally unmarked in middle of the 6 yard box. Great finish for us. Very even and enjoyable game, looking forward to second half

The future of refereeing in this country is in just as sorry a state in the years to come as it is in the present of that moron is anything to go by.

West Ham had it easy until their goal and then Reading seemed to wake up. We scored a good goal and began to get some joy pressing West Ham, who looked uncomfortable under pressure.

Unfortunately we just didn't create enough and wasted what should've been a certain goal at the end.

Guess winning finals just isn't for Reading FC.

F-T 1-2
Disappointing to lose to a late goal after bossing the 2nd half. Great chance to equalise with almost the last kick of the game.

Good game and unlucky to lose by the odd goal. Bit more clinical and could have won it.
Thought Source looked good at left back, Bowdrey stood out in midfield.
Hope some of these kids can progress in the next few years

Pleasant enough evening although the result was fair, shame we didn't take that injury time chance. I too thought Source had a good game at left back as did Harrison the CB who played on the left of the 2. Dave Kitson and Alex Pearce amongst those I spotted.

Agree with above comments, particularly Source, but also liked Neptune at right back. Also saw Mikele Leigertwood and Cheeseburger, as well as Alex Pierce in RFC coaches gear.
