As I recall Couhig kept on to the liens for the training ground as he couldn't return them when he got his money back - because Dai's lawyers were suing him. Does anyone know how that played out?

Does Dai even have any lawyers to negotiate on his behalf with?

At one point his lawyers were suing him for non payment of their invoices.

Elm Park Kid I got a brief reply from my source this morning along the lines of "Everyone's calm and confident. Just a matter of time".
Surely more a matter of money changing hands and paperwork being signed

Just a thought - but wonder if the playing staff would rather not have any announcements etc before the game to let them focus on the task in hand

It would of course be a positive vibe but also a big distraction

Players will probably know already, if a deal is nearly over the line. Would be one hell of an atmosphere in a near full stadium if it were announced beforehand.

It doesn't seem feasible to me for a deal to be done and them keeping a lid on it. There are too many people involved and there's too much focus on it. I expect it'll be announced immediately.

Yeah I don’t mean keeping it from the players

As a player would you rather the crowd focus solely on the game and getting you over the line or singing about Dai Yongge?

Only a thought as I said but I do seem to remember the Dai takeover being announced during or after the Fulham play off semi. Different situation of course but still some relevance

That’s the problem - the money changing hands. Couhig struggled to get the £25 million in used notes and Dai has insisted on counting twice and came up £5 short the first time and £20 over the second so into a third recount.

As a player I'd want the most positive atmosphere possible and no prospect of an angry pitch invasion.

So I'd want it official asap.

Only a small group will know for sure it is done i.e. ink dry, money transferred - so it may take a while to get the info out to the areas that need to push the message out. I'd be surprised though if a comms isn't ready to go for as soon as the green light is given.

Solid grasp of colloquial English from our Thai correspondent:

People need to calm the oxf*rd down. 1 day without an update and you turn into a bunch of bed wetting children. Most of you are grown oxf*rd adults . Jesus. The deal is signed. Like I’ve been saying all along. #readingfc just wait.

I have to admit I find him quite entertaining.

Whether the person behind that account knows anything or not, it is close to genius in Twitter terms to do what they are doing.

More people discussing him/her and their account than any takeover news.

He is Couhig's business partner according to this article: https://www.readingchronicle.co.uk/news ... ome-match/

However his twitter account has just 7 posts. However, Rob Coughig did tag him on a previous tweet, so it seems legitimate
