Royal Rother
Armadillo Roadkill
Royals and Racers Does anyone know the answer to this question ?
Joe Jacobson is the co- chief executive officer. Who is the other co CEO ?

Couhig isn't it?

IIRC Couhig detailed that in R4E's interview.

Yeah, he said that Jacobson was basically going to be the face of the club when he was out of the country, specifically referencing some legal work he was committed to undertaking over the next few weeks.

Obviously Jacobson was club captain (and possibly PFA rep) at Wycombe so he clearly trusts his understanding of the business side of things but it's not going to be a Dai/Pang situation where Couhig just oxf*rd off, leaving him to it.

To be fair, people always talk about having a "football person" on the board so it seems a sensible appointment and Couhig as chairman will ultimately have the final say.

Jacobsen has been studying sports business so should at least be a step up from Pang. Perhaps our intrepid Tim might find him an easier target for interview than RC though expect Tilehurst End or someone will beat him to it.

I'm not getting carried away but anything less than 138pts next season should be seen as a failure.

Very conservative - I think we should aim for more than that

For simplicitity let's just say that Dai "borrowed" the money. The debt remains owed. Hence why the sale process was both protracted and complex. Both the ground and training complex are valuable tangible assets.

For additional simplicity / to avoid potential for confusion, if Dai borrowed the money, he still owes it to whomever he borrowed it from.

.

Dai stole it. All been well documented. Hence the protracted negotiations. Dai is highly likely to have been in jail for some time.

Well documented that Dai has been in London isn’t it ?
And I suspect anyone languishing in a Chinese prison wouldn’t be allowed to negotiate sales of overseas businesses or sign contracts !

good point. is there an opposite process to points deductions where the authorities can just award us some extra points?

Sir John Madejski's been a bit quiet though this takeover.... Is he okay? Not seen him driving his Bentley about recently.

Appreciate the new owners are rightly hogging the media and communicating with the fans, but I would have thought Sir John would pop up and say how pleased he was that the club had been saved and that he wishes them success etc

Maybe he has and I just missed it?

138 points will be tough, especially as I expect them to win the FA Cup, League Cup and Football League Trophy as well as League One.

He is due to do an exclusive Q+A at the Purple Turtle July 15th so might get some insight from him then. Will be interesting the things he might say as I felt he took too long to turn on Dai when the ownership situation soured.

I guess it was a bit Trump/Putin in that Sir John was under the impression that Dai Yongge was a business man and would act in a manner which was best for business and the best way to help get a deal done wasn't to get his back up in case he did something vindictive.

He did an interview on bbc berks a couple of weeks back saying he was pleased with the takeover and that it was rob, and they have met and have spoken. But unlike all the previous owners he didn’t feel the need to offer any words of wisdom on how to run the club as for the first time we’ve got an owner who has been an owner before, and knows what he’s doing.

Met Sir John, back in the day, up the Costa Cafe in Reading Station. Came across as quite a character. Asked him where he was off to and he replied "Up to Liverpool. Without casting aspersions, say no more".

I've seen him about but never approached him as I'm awkward in those situations and I assume he must get it alot, although he seems the kind of person who enjoys a bit of well deserved friendly attention.
A mate of mine and his kid bumped into him and he asked if they go to many games, the Dad said they used to but struggle to get tickets so Sir John gave them Jackie from the ticket office's number and said to tell her they spoke with him.
