tidus_mi2WestYorksRoyal Amazing signing. Would complement Mbengue really well if he stays, if not we need another.
Leadership and experience which we've been lacking.
If we convince Mbengue to sign a new contract, doubt anyone will have a better central defence partnership next season.

genome I hadn't heard of him until earlier today, but now I'm convinced Reading are going to win the league.

Ascotexgunner Does this suggest Strickland won't be moving to first choice..... Which saddens me..... Or that Mbengue is defo off.

retro royal Read that he's a bit slow and not likely to be much more than league one player, maybe disgruntled Lincoln fan

If we’re promoted from league one and he’s playing for us regularly, then I think everyone’s a winner.

I've seen some complaining that he should be joining a Championship side.

Mbengue played the final third of the season with a heavily strapped knee, and if you watched him in the prep for corners he was constantly stretching his knee out and rubbing it.
I wouldn't be surprised if he has a chronic knee injury that flares up and is being managed from game to game. I'm sure not he will be a regular player.
