If thats the case then don’t think Forest would be best pleased - another move for him in January perhaps

Did feel like top half of L1 to a team that would have been targeting promotion to the Prem would be a big step up but it's hard to judge the situation for Bindon because even if it's not going great, he's hardly the only failing piece in that team.

Of possible interest to our older posters I have just read a book called The Saint.
No, it wasn't Ian St John but our old player John Sainty.

Some of his career was spent at Bournemouth and it was a Bournemouth fan who lent me the book, somebody whose youth team had been coached for a while by Sainty.

A prolific goalscorer for Spurs Reserves and not bad for us costing £12,000.
It seems as though he was always destined for coaching and that is where he had the biggest impact, notably at Norwich and Man City (both in the John Bond era) and then at Stockport playing a big part in their rise to what is now The Championship (the era of big Kevin Francis).

He played for us before and when Jack Mansell became manager but when we fans were ecstatic about the attacking football played under Mansell (Dick Habbin, Watney Cup, Man Utd etc.) apparently he was an unpopular manager with the players, including Sainty.

Quite well written for this type of book and the many comments made by ex-colleagues within the world of football make you believe that he was a decent bloke.
