He has been, done nothing all wrong.

He nearly did just then with a stupid back header.

On the other hand stopped a clear goal by getting back and covering the line after Stevens comes miles out and gets nowhere near it.

have we won a game MOM has played a significant role in?

Just don't see what he is supposed to bring, not fast, not strong, can't hold the ball up.. I know he's young, but so are a lot of the others who are offering more..

Full-time then. The performance sounded good in the first half, but flat in the second; lacked the cutting edge to get a goal and made mistakes for their goals. Onwards to Stockport.

Piece of piss to look him up on Soccerbase.

He looks like his confidence is shot, and as you say, no standout attributes. He's leathered a few good shots, but none of them have really got that close to going in between saves, blocks and the woodwork.

It's how easily hes knocked off the ball, and that it keeps bouncing off him that is the real concern for me.

Who knows, he might have one go in off his arse and turn into a player, strikers are a funny bunch... and he must have something about him to be on Brighton's books at 20..

I'd say we are yet to see whatever that is though.

Anyway, decent first half but we really needed a goal from it. Doyle was very unlucky that his shot didn't sneak in, decent save from Kelvin, but generally our final ball was not up to scratch.. game was over the second that corner hit the crossbar and we panicked.

.

His confidence must he absolutely on its arse because I see absolutely nothing to suggest he's anywhere near as good as Brighton seem to think he is. He makes Paul Brayson look like Jamie Cureton.

No wonder they wanted Vickers from us. Looks like he is head and shoulders above Mark's Pony (and yes I mean it in cockney rhyming slang)
Despite the height difference!

watched the first half intently, then mates* turned up and missed the second half bar the odd glimpse

first half we were good - shot pinged off inside post, o'mahoney had two solid efforts, really slick passing play

what I saw of the goals conceded was a failure to clear lines on the first and who knows what for the second

*lol!

The Sky commentator got it right...

Excellent in the first half, then Wrexham's extra quality eventually told.

Commentator was actually well informed and pretty cliché free.

OK game, the result we probably expected, opportunity to jokes about concentrating on the League, won't linger in the memory past this morning.

What did we think of Sam Smith last night?, long gone are the days of kissing the badge here, yes I know he has a new club now and we only sold him because we had too, but his lack of empathy for us was clear to see, fist pumping when he thought he had scored the second goal.
I found it a little uncomfortable given we`ve virtually made him what he is now with two spells here.

He owes us nothing ect ect ect ect...........

Brighton’s data led them to believe he was the next Evan Ferguson. At the time they signed him, Ferguson was playing extremely well and was touted to be in for a big move. There has been nothing that I have seen from him to indicate that he has much to offer outside the box or with his back to goal. He may well be an excellent finisher who could do well in a team that created a lot of opportunities for him, but this is not us. What I can’t get away from is the fact that he is at this time a downgrade on Wareham.
There was a moment in the first half yesterday when we were on the break and he had an easy pass to make into the run of Kyerewaa. The execution of the pass was truly awful when there was the chance to release Kyerewaa in behind at pace. Even at this level, the margins that need to be dealt with are inches, split seconds and fundamental instinctive decision making. When you can operate in these conditions, without conscious thought, you will look very much in place.

So, a team from The Championship made up of around 70% of their Reserves beats a team 2-0 from the next lower division also playing around 70% of their Reserves.
We passed it around well in the first half but creating only half chances (as usual) and they come out in the second half, dominate the game and might have scored 4 or 5.

This is where we are at the moment-a squad of around 20 or so players who are much of a muchness ,apart from Wing, likely to finish lower mid-table and maybe get a bit further in the lowest of the cup competitions.

I guess we have to keep on reminding ourselves that we still have a club and can only sign players that nobody else wants and that we did have a few seasons playing at the higher levels but when I see how clubs supposedly similar to ours in Brentford, Brighton and Bournemouth doing so well at the highest level and staying there I really do feel (something that I never feel away from football) envious.
Why oh why did we get the rare Russian with no money?

BTW after so much pre and early season Yankee verbiage and hype "it's all gone quiet over there"-never mind, we'll probably get fireworks again for the Mansfield game and maybe free baseball caps with MRGA on them -Make Reading Great Again.

Yeah, that pass was truly dreadful. He just kicked it vaguely up the pitch, when a ball into DK's path would have seen him 1v1 with the full back and the rest of the defense scrambling. I actually laughed out loud at how bad it was.

He works for Wrexham now

Of course if you were equally upset about his celebration last year against Cambridge then your point might stand
